Filmed in Prague

and Czech Republic

Sometimes while traveling we will go to a famous location just so we can say "I've been there!" when we see it in a photo or video. In Prague it is dead easy because so many films have been shot there.

Below is just a partial list of the more famous films with major scenes from Prague.

Dungeons and Dragons with Jeremy Irons was filmed entirely in the Czech Republic with scenes from Kutna Hora.

Thanks for visiting my Czech expat lenses and leaving a comment. I did vote on the best place in Prague, and chose the Lennon Wall.

The Lennon Wall has ties to political dissidents such as Vaclav Havel and many others. It represents peaceful revolution. Czechs painted this wall in opposition to the communist regime. The regime would paint over the dissident graffiti, and the dissidents would come back every single time to repaint their messages. I love this wall and it's place in Czech history.

Artist David Cerny has a wonderful sense of humor!...I can recall hearing how better it is to be pissed off than to be pissed on!
Very interesting and educational peek at one of Europes grand cities.

It seems inpossible for me to add to your list. When I click on 'add to this list', it says that I am not logged it, but I am. Anyway my favourite eating and drinking establishment is the self-service restaurant in Bila Labut, because this is very much what grabbing lunch in the old days must have been. A second favourite is Na Zlate Vyhlidce in Kobelisy, because it is 'Czech only'. My favourite location is Prague 10, Strasnice because our son lives there.

Hi mivvy, I have yet to receive a reply from support so I played with the module settings and it seems to be working now. I added Bila Labut for you.
Karin and I found the center and the restaurant very interesting, mainly as a trip back in time to department stores of our youth.
    Cheers,
