The Lord's Prayer
The Lord's Prayer, also known as the Our Father, is perhaps the best-known and most popular prayer in Christianity. It is estimated that 2 billion people read, sing or recite the Lord's Prayer in hundreds of languages around the world on Easter Day. Here are two versions of the Lord's Prayer, the Serenity Prayer, and information on how to pray the Rosary.
The Lord's Prayer - Catholic and 1928 Anglican
Our Father who art in heaven,hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
[The 1928 BCP adds:
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever.]
