This might just be the best lens I have ever seen. Wow, God bless you for sharing this. I know now that I really need a prayer/home binder . . . but also appreciate from the bottom of my heart all the beautiful reminders about priorities and prayer that you listed here.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

    P.S.
I also thoroughly enjoyed 'A Woman After God's Own Heart.' :)
  • MomwithAHook Feb 18, 2012 @ 9:28 pm | delete
Ditto - loved the book 'A Woman After God's Own Heart' which is what inspired this little journal. Thanks for the blessings - I'll take all I can get.

You certainly have a gift of organization! I particularly like your accountability list. I guess I missed this in the front page rotation, congratulations! It is an absolute pleasure to leave a Squid angel blessing....
  • MomwithAHook Jan 31, 2012 @ 10:49 am | delete
Thanks for the angel blessings. I too like the accountability list - it really helps when I don't want to do the things I need to.

Hi Sara! I love this lens of yours and I'm gonna try it. I really appreciate the part about the husband because I don't think I'm a good wife. Hopefully, I will improve.
    Thanks for this wonderful lens!
  • MomwithAHook Jan 29, 2012 @ 12:23 pm | delete
@Moira thanks for visiting my lens. The husband part is a tough one and I'm sure you're a better wife than you give yourself credit. I'm currently doing a praying for your spouse challenge and am almost done with 31 days of praying - it's been a great experience for me.
  • beckyf Jan 27, 2012 @ 2:22 pm | delete

Love this lens! You did a terrific job here. I totally support putting God first and daily Bible reading. You added, for others to purchase, "The One Year Bible" KJV which is an excellent way to read the Bible through in one year. I started with this Bible over 25 years ago and am still reading it daily. So glad to see you on the homepage, Congratulations!
  • MomwithAHook Jan 26, 2012 @ 1:37 am | delete
Last year I took a reading the Bible in 90 days challenge and it challenged me to really focus more on reading the entire Bible not just bits and pieces. Didn't know I was on the front page - how cool.

I`ve wanted to keep a prayer journal for sometime so that I dont forget to pray for all the things that I must. I need to get into the habit of writing it down so when im praying, it makes it easier for me to remember the people/things i need to pray for. Beautiful Ideas. Blessed
  • MomwithAHook Jan 26, 2012 @ 1:38 am | delete
thanks for the blessings. I learned to write down prayers from my grandmother. She had spirals notebooks filled with prayers and would date them when they were answered. I didn't know how much that impacted me until she died.
  • Mia-Mia Jan 23, 2012 @ 11:29 am | delete
Thank you for a great lens. Congrats on making it to the homepage.

  • Joan4 Jan 22, 2012 @ 10:07 pm | delete
I am so glad you wrote this -- I keep a prayer journal and a goals notebook and a household notebook. But I never considered using one notebook for all of it! Brilliant!
  • MomwithAHook Jan 26, 2012 @ 1:39 am | delete
This was a new concept to me until 2000 when it was introduced to me. I love the idea.

Sure is a great lens!! ... I was just telling someone how reading a chapter of Proverbs a day is the best advice for all aspects of business and life in general. I want to add this to my featured lenses too :)
  • MomwithAHook Jan 13, 2012 @ 5:13 pm | delete
Someone told me about that too - Having 31 chapters makes it very convenient to read one chapter a day.
  • Rhidawn Dec 30, 2011 @ 10:04 pm | delete
Great lens. I added it to my "featured lens" module on my binders lens.

  • MomwithAHook Feb 1, 2011 @ 11:00 pm | delete
Thanks for the compliments. Will check out your Blessings Jar lens. I'm doing a challenge-goal this month to encourage my boys at least once per day and was thinking about writing ideas out, putting them in a jar and them choosing one or two throughout the day to make a point to encourage them.

Encouragement for me to get my prayer journal back out and start using it again. Although mines just a blank journal that I right prayers in. Lensrolling this to my In the Beginning page.
  • MomwithAHook Feb 1, 2011 @ 11:02 pm | delete
Great - I find I too have to dust it off and restart from time to time. Life changes and our needs do as well which goes to reason our prayer journal will as well. When I was younger I used to keep spiral journals with prayers - something I learned from my Grandmother.
  • glockr Sep 26, 2010 @ 7:12 pm | delete
