Flying home for a visit
Yes, I told the kids it was going to be fun and my wife well this will only be her second flight ever. So lets just say the anxiety level is naturally high. I choose to purchase the tickets about 3 months ago. Which seems now to have been a good buy as the prices have climbed.
Make a List
Recognize ahead of time what emotions you will be going through
For the most part I have been busy with work and not much time for worry. Now with the day right around the corner the tensions are starting to spill over. So there goes my heart a ticking. Breath.....I decided to make a list of the things I thought might need double attention. Basically occupying my time.
A good set of luggage is Important
You want compartments galore!
I think compartments help keep everything organized and contained. Get used to it. Every time you go in and remove an item while on your trip make sure you put it right back where it goes. You don't want to miss anything when traveling light. Clothing I will Bring

I plan to do laundry while away

If you do not have a personal bag ZIP LOCK bags work just fine.
In fact zip lock bags are a nice way to keep all your items separate and also a good way to make space. Simply press out excess air and seal.

- Nice info. I fly all the time for both recreation and business. I'm with you on the luggage and compartments thing. It helps to keep all my stuff separated.

- I want to let you know I used your guide for packing for a week for my husband and it worked perfectly...I hate dragging luggage, next time I go to Europe it will be with one carry-on, life will be simpler... at least for me....I don't like to fly in this day and age, but if you want to see other parts of the world, you must...I reside to the fact that God is in control and if it is my time, so be it....5*

- I love to fly, but I HATE takeoff and I really, really hate turbulence. I use homeopathic remedies to calm myself down, help my ears, and prevent motion sickness (I always bring a bag of crystalized ginger to munch on for that too). Great lens!
