A Prediction..
Just after launching Google universal search I got a little future idea of what will Google do in future. In spite of being rite or wrong, this idea struck me logically. Here what the situation is...
Google announce some time ago YOUR SEARCH HISTORY option that is all the sites you are browsing through Google are stored as your history & can accessed through Google account. Then it becomes WEB HISTORY, a great risky step by Google cause people don't want their personnel search to be kept by a third party. Even they share their favorites & bookmarks on social network sites but still that is not acceptable by many people. Now Google announces that UNIVERSAL SEARCH. Now if you search anything in Google it doesn't show you only web results instead it will now mix all the results from link building service its specific search engines i.e. from News Search, Image search, Book search, Blog Search etc & than show you a mix-up of all that results.
As all knows even Google too that showing relevant results is a big problem for all search engines but due to Google's huge data base it is much trouble for it.
Here comes my idea, Google knows what each & every person, the one using any service of Google, doing on internet. Now As Google has a list of that persons browsing history it may start showing personnel result. That mean if a persons browsing history shows that he is much interested in Australia in cricket field & more specifically in McGrath than when this person search for cricket in Google, the results shown are directly related to McGrath's then Australia then cricket.
So don't you think that is the future of SEARCH??

- It is possible in a away cause every person has some google product installed on its PC for example toolbar. so it might be possible. As a a prove sign in your google account and search somethin than sign out of your account

- I agree that it is already start or if not than nearly in future it will. Google is now tweaking its algo to rank site by studying behavioral data.

- I've already started to see results of this. After visiting my site hockEdeals.com multiple times, the rankings for that site went up in the search. When I logged out of my Google account, it dropped back down to where it was before. This is a huge change for webmasters.
