Spiritual Stories Of Pregnancy Intuition

"At first I actually wanted a boy, but as the pregnancy went on, I just knew it was a girl. Now, I can't imagine ever wanting something other than this perfect little girl. I would say by about the end of the first trimester around 15 weeks, I was convinced it was a girl. We didn't find out until I was 24 weeks pregnant, but I was right!!"

Elizabeth experienced an inner knowingness so strong, she felt completely comfortable announcing her pregnancy to a friend the very day after conception!

"I had an inner knowingness with one of my pregnancies. I knew I was pregnant almost immediately after conception. In fact, I found myself telling a good friend about my pregnancy the very day after conception. I didn't tell her I "might be." I told her I was pregnant. And in fact I was."

Several women have sent us stories of experiencing pregnancy intuition shortly before getting pregnant. Sandy's story is one of these. Beginning about a month before conception, her intuition started preparing her for her soon-to-be-real pregnancy!

Sandy explains:

"Even though we weren't trying to conceive, about a month before I got pregnant thoughts of being pregnant and of having a boy kept popping into my head. It wasn't thoughts of wanting to get pregnant. It was thoughts of being pregnant and of raising a child. The thoughts grew more and more intense all that month. About a week after conception, I knew it without a doubt. I knew I was pregnant and that the baby would be a boy. My son is two and a half now, and is the joy of my life!"

We've also heard several stories about relatives or friends who learned about the pregnancy even before the mother-to-be did. Barbara's story is a nice example of this!

"Although I wish I could say I'd had intuition about being pregnant, it isn't true. Instead it was my grandmother who had the intuition! Can you believe that?! She came to visit at Thanksgiving and brought with her a bunch of my mom's old baby things, clothes and blankets and stuff. I said, "What is this for, Grandma?" She just smiled and said, 'In case you need it." A week later I discovered I was pregnant."
