What Does Eating Right Mean To You?

Pregnancy smart foods, means, feeling healthier, extra energy, feeling good about yourself (confidence) knowing that you're making the right choices for yourself and your baby.

It Doesn't Have To Be Hard...

To some, though, proper nutrition might be easier said than done. I understand that. I've been there. My first pregnancy 21 yrs ago, I was lost. I didn't know the first thing about proper nutrition , especially while pregnant. If only I had the internet. I had to learn the hard way.

Four more pregnancies later, I did eventually learn how to eat right and how it makes all the difference in the world. In fact it's key to losing weight and as well, maintaining it. Some people will exercise and wonder why they don't see results. 9 times out of 10, it's their diet. Yes, that is actually me in the introduction picture, after having five babies. But like I said, I had to learn the hard way.
Pregnant women nowadays have the advantage of having the right support and tools they need, right at their fingertips. It's Awesome!

Where Do I Start?

You may be settled into your comfort zone, and perhaps raised with all good intentions. Your parents or parent may have had your best interests at heart, but not in mind, meaning that they may have not had the right education themselves, and raised you the way they were taught by their parents.
That's fine, but you can change that cycle. How? Well, you can, with the real desire to really take care of yourself and feel the best you can.
*Learn what carbs are
*Learn about good carbs verses bad carbs.
*Learn about how bad carbs affect your sugar levels.
*Learn how to read ingredient labels.
*Learn how too much of anything you eat or drink can easily unbalance you in every way.
In other words, learn how to eat in moderation.
*Learn how and why proper supplements are vital to your health.
*Learn the importance of "clean" eating
Well, the list goes on. I could write a book about it.

Learning all this may seem too much, and overwhelming. I know, especially if it's all new to you.
I started with first the desire. Where there's a will there's a way. I wanted to feel better, look better, but most importantly, I wanted to do it for the health of my babies as well.

Why not take the first step...

...towards a better you? I'm not claiming to be a "know it all". I'm still learning something new every day. But I am passionate about good health and fitness. If sharing some of my knowledge, in order to help someone, might in fact give them a boost or a turning point to a healthier lifestyle, it will, in fact, gratify me. In turn, you will be setting a good example for your children and no doubt you will give yourself gratification as well.
