Some common signs of being pregnant
Having said that I would like to present you with a few of the typical tell tale signs that you might experience shortly after conception.
The initial signs of being pregnant are felt very strongly by some women and hardly at all for others. There are women who can tell if they are pregnant after a matter of only two days or so.
It is also quite common, especially in younger women and those who have not been pregnant before to confuse these early warning signs with those of common ailments.
Here is a list of some of the most common symptoms you might experience when you first become pregnant.
MISSED PERIODS:
This is perhaps the most obvious symptom but is not a definite indicator that you are actually pregnant. A missed period can also be attributed to a whole host of other conditions such as; Sudden weight loss (or sometimes weight gain), stress, coming off the contraceptive pill, certain illnesses. Missed or skipped periods should be commented to your doctor.
MORNING SICKNESS:
This famous symptom is called 'Morning' sickness but is not actually limited to mornings at all and can be experienced at any time of the day. It ranges from a light fainting sensation to nausea and violent vomiting. It usually starts to happen at around the 5th or 6th week into the pregnancy but in some cases can appear earlier (2 weeks or there abouts). Morning sickness usually stops before the end of the first trimester.
FATIGUE:
Moments of extreme tiredness are quite normal during the whole term of the pregnancy. However if this becomes constant or uncomfortable then you should consult your doctor.
TENDER BREASTS:
This is possibly the very first symptom that a woman will experience when pregnant and can start to manifest in a matter of days. Enlargement of the breasts with the areola becoming much darker in color. Tenderness and heightened sensitivity of the breasts will also occur.
This is the breast getting ready for pregnancy and breastfeeding. This symptom will normally subsides a few weeks into the pregnancy.
