Pretty Ricky

Pretty Ricky is an American rap and R&B group from Miami, Florida. The band Pretty Ricky is comprised of four brothers: Corey "Slick'em" Mathis, Diamond Blue "Baby Blue" Smith, Spectacular Blue Smith, and Marcus "Pleasure" Cooper. Their debut album, Bluestars, was released on May 23, 2005 and features the hit U.S. top ten single, "Grind With Me." Then came their next two singles "Your Body" and "Juicy." Later, their fourth single "Nothin' But A Number" was released, but like "Juicy," a video was never made. In 2005, Pretty Ricky joined other R&B/hip-hop acts including Bow Wow and Omarion on the Scream 4 Tour.

Members Slick 'Em, Spectacular, Baby Blue, Tarris Joiel were once known as the Maverix, alongside Prettie Rickie Rickie back in 1997. They released tracks like "Flossin'," "So Fresh, So Clean," and "La La La," all of which were local hits in Miami. At the time, Marcus was struggling making a name for himself on his own. Due to legal disputes, Slick, Spec and Blue decided to drop the name "Maverix" and their band mate and brother, Prettie Rickie Rickie (Joseph Smith), and added their brother Marcus (Pleasure) and later called themselves "Pretty Ricky."
