We Must Make a Paradigm Switch...

In the year 2008, health care primarily has a REACTIVE approach meaning we respond primarily to disease and illness after it is present. PREVENTION means becoming more PROACTIVE with health care. It means educating others on the risk factors of disease, such as cardiovascular heart disease and what can be done to prevent the onset of such conditions.

Urgency in Becoming More Prevention Focused...

  • By the year 2020, Chronic conditions are predicted to be one of the leading causes of disability
  • Chronic conditions if not prevented may become one of the most expensive problems in health care
  • Many chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, respiratory disease, cardiovascular disease, and cancer ARE linked by common preventable risk factors

Do I have to be in healthcare to make a difference?

Absolutely Not! We can all contribute to making the shift to PREVENTION...

You can start by taking charge of your own health! It seems it's easier to just not take care of ourselves in this century of 'hurry up' that we live in.
Are you getting enough sleep?
What are you putting into your body?
Are you getting regular physical activity?

Making the Shift in Healthcare?

  • EARLY DISEASE DETECTION
