Helping Average People Get a Better Deal

The Price Transparency lens is dedicated to democratizing pricing information for consumers. By increasing the level of price transparency available, the average person stands a better chance of getting a fair deal in the commercial marketplace.

About rcorn

My name is Roger Corn. I'm an experienced Internet executive with a passion for the power of online communities.

Prior to founding Priceocracy, I spent several years as a Business Executive at Yahoo! in the Y! Search group. This is where I learned the most about the power of Web "community" concepts- by working with the great teams of Y! Search, Flickr, Y! Answers, Y! Video and multiple other consumer products in that group and around Yahoo! at large.

Before that I spent several years at GoTo.com and Overture, which was my first taste of the Internet start-up experience. There we pioneered the "sponsored search listing" model which is still today the most efficient and effective direct marketing vehicle available on the Web.

I attended graduate school at the University of Chicago (MBA) and undergrad at UCLA (Major: English Literature and Economics).

I currently reside in South Pasadena, CA and provide business consulting services to Internet companies in the greater LA area.
