Two Sides Of The Same Coin
Whether swirling the soothing energies of healing and focusing on the wounded or resurrecting the dead, even causing untold pain in those around them, priests are a force to be reckoned with.
Agents of the light or destroyers of peace, priests can play both sides of the field at any given time and usually switch between doing massive amounts of damage to healing an entire group with a quick change of clothing. Worthy adversaries indeed.
Character Class: Priest
It's A Love / Hate Thing, Ya Know?

Upholding The Light
And Betraying The Power of The Shadows

Priests are an interesting class. Practically a staple among groups and raids, yet able to grind on their own and be a menace in PvP arenas all the same, playing a priest takes some skill and a direction overall, but it's worth it.
Many people who play priests usually find out that holy speccing all the time is much harder without groups and than going into shadow mode and destroying everything in sight. A good priest will be able to balance the two out and combine both light and shadow to be a powerful and effective character.
Talent Specs
There Are Two Sides To Every Caster...

Talent Spec: Discipline
Jolting The Lily

Discipline is one of those talent tress that has a tendency to get mixed in with other areas. Holy priests like to use this tree to augment burst of power and buffs they can give other players to do more damage. Thus, this talent tree is very useful in groups.
So for grinding, maybe not, but for groups, raids, and some PvP situations, might be a worthwhile investment to keep an eye on this tree.
Talent Spec: Holy
Better Than Those Guys On The TV

Holy spec is all about the healing. Heal, buff, heal again, and keep doing that until everyone has done your dirty work for you. Great for groups, lousy for solo grinding however.
Spec holy if you think you'll be in situations where it will be of use. Groups, raids, PvP raids, stuff like that. If you're going to solo, you'll be much more interested in shadow speccing...
Talent Spec: Shadow
I Eat Little Children For Breakfast..

Shadow spec is all about damage. In fact, when you get high enough to get shadow mode, you won't actually be able to heal yourself. But don't let that fool you because shadow spec can be really nasty in both grinding and PvP.
If you think you'll be alone most of the time or need to do some off-DPS in a group, shadow is most likely your best bet. Besides, it's fun and the shadow mode turns you purple!
What Type of Priest Are You?
For The Light or The Shadow?
So what do you do? Heal or supply damage? Ride in the aura of the light or dwell in the vestiges of shadows?
