The awe of water!
Roaring water that is. You can never tire of witnessing natures waterfalls. The falls around Priest Lake are a beautiful example.
You'll find spring is the season when the waterfalls are at the height of their performance with the melting snow run-off.
East Side Falls
The best waterfalls are on the east side of the lake. Lion and Hunt Creeks are just minutes away from Priest Lake Haven year round cabin rental. Priest Lake Haven is the only large occupancy cabin that is open all seasons to experience what nature has to offer. Contact them and they will send you a free 2008 Priest Lake Visitors Guide.Of course spring is the best season with the melting snow run-off. The roaring is so loud it can be heard miles away. The beauty of the water as it rushes over large granite boulders is refreshing and invigorating.
Upper Priest Falls
The difficult trail that leads to Upper Priest Falls is worth all your effort. The trail is the most scenic around the lake. If you venture out mid August you are sure to find an abundance of huckleberry bushes along the way.Water is one of earths many healing elements. Watching water move whether it's a passive ripple or a fast moving waterfall is always mind clearing as well as offers natural stress relief!
Granite Falls
Granite Falls on the West side of the lake cascades down with a thunderous roar. The falls are also spectacular in the winter with the ice formations around them. Though the trail is open only to snowmobiles. Fortunately Priest Lake Haven is open all winter and can accomodate many sledders.
