In basic math, we're taught multiplication tables. We learn that most numbers are the answer to at least two different multiplication problems, some numbers are the answer to several, and then...

There are the primes, a product only of themselves and one.

The thing is, as numbers get larger, they tend to have more and more ways of multiplying other numbers to get them. Still, every once in awhile, there's a prime.

It's a mystery to solve, endlessly.

Definition: Prime Number

"Any positive integer greater than 1 and exactly divisible only by 1 and itself."
Encyclopedia Britannica
