A new Prince, in a new World
The game has an ancient Persian setting, although the exact century and country is not revealed. In the game, the player assumes the role of the Prince, whose name is not revealed in the game. The Prince is accompanied by a girl named Elika, whom he met after a large sandstorm diverted him from his course and he ended up in a mysterious land. Players traverse many different environments using the Prince's acrobatic abilities to scale walls and even crawl on the ceilings. Throughout the journey, players combat various different enemies as they attempt to cleanse the land of corruption. (read more)

Prince of Persia is gaming's equivalent of your own personal electric kool-aid acid trip. This is good news. We need as many acrobatic, sword-slashing games as we can get. The new world features a lot of vertical gameplay, taking you up to some dizzying heights to survey the world down below you as you progress through your quest. The size and height of our world certainly gives it a massive sense of scope.

Assassins Creed is better because there is more maneuverability in it. in Prince of Persia the whole world is just a bunch of little paths with some poles to keep you going. AC has whole cities you can explore with houses you can climb to the top of. you get more freedom to play the game you want to.

- Does this game have anything story-related to the previous games?
- No, nothing that will affect the main narrative. They put in a few tongue and cheek references (hint: pay attention to the ODD system) but just as a 'nod and a wink' to the hardcore fans. They are telling a new story within the "Book" of Prince of Persia.
- How do you beat the warior?
- You need to force the Warrior backwards toward a ledge, then enter a Quick-Time Event and press X rapidly to push him over the side. In later battles, you will need to use the same tactic to force him into a small enclosed area, or into pillars that will damage him.

I think they've recaptured the magic and mystery that made the original Sands Of Time so great. This is a much-needed and welcome reboot for the series. Prince of Persia integrates wonderfully fun acrobatics with often-tricky swordplay, presented in a beautiful new, cell-shaded art style; it's an excellent debut for the franchise on the PS3 and Xbox 360.
