Canada Post Royal Wedding issue
As a stamp collector and Canadian, I was quite surprised to learn that Canada Post decided to issue a Royal Wedding commemorative stamps set. As you know, Canada did not do any special issue for late Princess Diana and Prince Charles wedding. But due to popular demand, Canada Post have decided to issue a last minute stamps set. The decision was made early February 2011. They will be available on April 29th.

I don't think we should keep comparing the two. But Kate will be popular in her own right. She is already very poised, discreet and elegant. With time, practice and a supportive husband, I have no doubt that she will be extremely popular. And not to mention a truckload of designers dying to dress her!

- The reason for the stamps, they make money. I mean since the wedding of Charles and Diana Canada has put out stamps on Superheros and Canadian entertainers. People may not use many stamps nowadays but they do seem to be interested in collecting the unusual ones.

- I hadn't planned on it until now, I think the stamps are a nice collectible. I have a jasper blue wedgewood plate from Diana and Charles wedding, somewhere :) Great lens!
