Why printable Christmas cards?

42 days to Christmas. It's still not too late to send out Christmas cards. While we all were once worried that digital greeting cards will totally replace traditional snail-mail cards one day, it looks like this concern seems to be unnecessary. The majority of us still prefer to do things the old way - with a modern twist though. Today, people continue to post Christmas cards to the ones they care and love; this time using printable Christmas cards.

Make printable Christmas cards for that personal touch

Printable Christmas cards are gaining popularity today as it allows you to customize your cards in so many ways. You can choose from various designs, motifs, colors, card sizes and card shapes. You can even add in your photo, if you like. In short, your printable Christmas cards reflect your character and style, allowing you to add that personal touch in the greeting cards you send out.

Printing your own Christmas cards is cheaper

While you can hire professional printing service to print your personalized Christmas cards, the cost of printing and delivering may be an issue. Alternatively, you can buy Christmas card designs online and print from your own printer. However, if you plan to lower your cost this year, you may consider creating your own printable Christmas cards.

(Idea: If you find yourself enjoying designing and printing Christmas cards at home, you might want to consider starting a home-based greeting card business...;-D)

A fun activity the whole family can enjoy!

Why not get the whole family to participate in this Christmas card printing activity? Let your kids have fun making printable Christmas cards, let them put their creativity into work! They can create their very own personalized Christmas cards and give to their friends in school.

P.S. But please, don't just rely on your kids, okay? Get your brain juice working as well, alright? :)

But the problem with making my own printable Christmas cards is...

"I don't know how to design!"
"I don't know how to put my design onto the computer!"
"Where can I get nice graphics?"
"How should I print the card?"
...
...

I myself find this a MAJOR problem, too. That is why I had been searching for ready-made templates to make printable Christmas cards (and other types of greeting cards as well). Recently I found one cheap package that provides a huge collection of nice-looking ready-made designs to make printable greeting cards. Christmas card designs are included as well.

Best of all, included in the package is a bunch of printable coloring pages that you can give to your kids or your neighbor's children to do some coloring activity. That will keep them occupied for a while when you are busy with other chores in the house. ;)

Hi Arlene! It's cool of you to teach your children to appreciate art and enjoy doing it. I think this will actually help them to be more creative, in whatever they do in the future. I just wished that I'd had the chance to explore arts and crafts when I was much younger. But it's still not too late! :)

I'd prefer to print my own Christmas cards, specially with my children. I want to develop their sense of art at a very young age and teach them how to do beautiful things. I'll try to do these Christmas cards ideas that I found. I hope my children will enjoy our card-making session.
