How to find free PRINTABLE manufacturer's grocery food coupons

Ranked #114 in Home & Garden, #1,897 overall

Print coupons online and save money!

I just love free printable internet coupons!  Many people do not know that they can print manufacturer's coupons for groceries free right at home. This page has been made to compile all the very best sources of these places you can print coupons for free.

Some stores in some areas do not accept IPC (Internet Printed Coupons) due to fraud problems. You might want to check with your local stores to make sure you can use IPCs before you go to time and ink/paper expense of printing them.

Some websites require that you download some software to be able to print free grocery coupons at home, so you will need to judge each one yourself to decide if you would want to do that. But if you are able to use them, they are a wonderful opportunity to save!

Important!

The Most Important Thing

Be cautious of using sites that promise "Free Coupons!" The sites on this page I have personally checked out -- I regularly print coupons from them. However, that does not mean that there will never be any risk. Risks could include computer viruses or counterfeit coupons, so I only share links to sites I haven't had any problems with myself.

Some stores tightening Internet printed coupon policies

Maybe new coupon rules were going to happen anyway, but there's no denying that the TLC show "Extreme Couponing" has encouraged stores to at least clarify their coupon rules.

What I'm seeing lately is stores only allowing 1 Internet printed coupon per product per transaction. So, if you want to get multiples of an item and you have a printed coupon, you'll have to make at least 2 trips.

At some stores, it might be okay to have 2 duplicate looking printable coupons, as long as the coupons' bar codes start with a different number on each.

So, it will pay to ask at the store you frequent before you load up the cart, to make sure you have an understanding of how their coupon policy works in relation to Internet printed coupons....and if you get permission to use what you have, make note of the customer service person's name, so you can name-drop if and when you have an issue with using your coupons at checkout.

Good luck!

Sites with Free Printable Coupons

Grocery and other coupons you can print at home. Many have a limit of 2 prints per coupon, but by going to more than one site, you can dramatically increase the number of coupons you can acquire. I'm sorry that trying to find printable coupons online is sometimes a real struggle. I know I've felt like I'm jumping through hoops just to save fifty cents sometimes! So it is frustrating if you don't have some time set aside to work on this.

TIP: Keep your home-printed coupons in a safe place where you can keep them dry. I've found out the hard way that the printer ink runs when it gets wet! Here's a page I made about how to create a coupon organizer using a binder and baseball card plastic organizer inserts.

Coupons.com
Coupons.com offers easy to save and print coupons!
*This is my favorite, because it's so quick and easy to do. They give you the option to sign up to receive notifications of new coupons AFTER you print what you want, but they don't require that for you to print coupons. I find that very cool. Many sites want you to jump through hoops before you can print the coupons. I appreciate this. So I signed up and now I know right away when they have new coupons to print.
SmartSource.com **
Initial download of software may be needed (Once I did it, I haven't needed to restart my computer or download anything again from this site)

Internet coupon tips

Go to coupon websites at the beginning of each month, because that's when the manufacturers release them. Return here for the links to the sites to print again at the end of the month (because the coupons are reset with each month)

If you really like a coupon, print it twice. Usually 2x is the limit, but you can try to see how many times you can print it.

If there's a product you buy often, it's worth a visit to the company's website. Sometimes they are easy to print from the site, but sometimes you need to register in order to have access to coupons. Also visit your favorite grocery and drug store websites. Sometimes you will find coupons there.

Many manufacturers now offer their coupons "paperless." You can upload the coupons you want to your shopper's card. This is really great, because you can also use manufacturer's paper coupons in conjunction with the paperless coupons (they deduct at the end of your transaction automatically)

Keep your home-printed coupons dry! Most home printer inks are not waterproof.

On the 30th or 31st of each month, revisit these sites to make sure you have printed all the coupons you need, as the sites generally take off old coupons and put up new coupons at the beginning of each month.

Thank you for this information. I love a good deal.

Thanks for posting some of the other coupon sites. I go to coupons.com a lot. The downside with printing is using all the ink. So I try to be careful to only print what I am going to need. My printer soaks up so much ink! LOL I still get most of my coupons from the newspaper. I also get some via samples from other companies. I am amazed at where I find them sometimes. My daughter found coupons on the back of some of our cereal boxes.
  • ddixonart Apr 1, 2012 @ 1:19 am | delete
Good tips. Yes, always look all inside packages. I've been known to find more coupons for the very same product ON the product. So if it is a good price that week, I might go ahead and open (within reason) some packages just to get the coupons so I can go get more for my stockpile. It kind of depends on what the product is though. I got about 18 packages of Electrasol automatic dish detergent gelpacs for about a dollar each this way :)

Excellent coupon tips, Darla! There's also a great free e-book download about Couponing 101 by DiscountQueens over at their site.

Useful tips you have shared with all to get free printable coupons for manufacturer and grocery.
  • couponme Feb 22, 2012 @ 2:24 pm | delete
I have just found out that you can also use different zip codes to get different coupons. If you google state zip codes, it will bring up a site and you can put in cities and it will give you different zip codes. I checked it out and as long as they are valid there is no harm in it. hope this helps some. :)
  • ddixonart Apr 1, 2012 @ 1:21 am | delete
This technique can score you some good coupons -- I live in the Atlanta area and we'll often get .55-cent-off coupons that will not double, but a .50-cent off coupon WOULD double, and those can be located by trying other Zip Codes. I'm sure it's kind of frowned upon though.
  • FreelancinFran Feb 9, 2012 @ 9:25 pm | delete
Thank you Darla! This gave me some great tips on starting out and I'm fixing to check out a few of the sites now :)

Not to blame you, because you put together a great list of coupon resources, however you left out one good site to find printable manufacturer coupons

    www.printablemanufacturercoupon.com
  • ddixonart Feb 4, 2012 @ 8:44 am | delete
Thank you, I will check it out. I don't link any sites here (or recommend beginning coupon users print coupons just anywhere). There is the risk of counterfeit coupons as well as a risk to a user's computer for viruses. So I only link sites here that i have personally checked out.
  • animefour Jan 5, 2012 @ 12:00 pm | delete
Thanks for the coupons. I also found a great online coupons site called Ontimedeals for online store coupons
  • ddixonart Feb 4, 2012 @ 8:45 am | delete
Thanks, I will check that out. I only link sites here that I have personally checked out and found no problem using. There is too much risk for viruses as well as counterfeited coupons.

I love to use coupons and save money! Lot's of coupon policies can be found online for local stores as well. I agree, that it's always best to check these out before printing a ton of coupons and filling your cart.

Good ideas! The newspaper in my town isn't very good and doesn't contain many coupons. Finding coupons online might be the way to go.
  • ddixonart Feb 4, 2012 @ 8:47 am | delete
Definitely, just be careful what sites you use. I have personally checked out the sites I link on this page, but you can never be too careful on the Internet. Coupons.com and RedPlum as well as Betty Crocker we know are reputable. I can find plenty of printable coupons on reputable sites, so I don't take any chances with others unless they come recommended by someone I know.

Fantastic coupons! These can help you save money each month and stay on budget.
  • ddixonart Feb 4, 2012 @ 8:49 am | delete
Thanks! I find I can save even more money if I am really careful about which coupons I print. It's a waste of money if I print coupons and then don't use them. There is an expense involved in the paper, the ink, and my cutting time.
  • Fran Sep 13, 2011 @ 10:20 am | delete
New at coupon searching - seems too complicated...been to several coupon sites, always the same thing, must register....for example, today I simply want to printout coupons on science diet dog food and iams cat food
  • ddixonart Sep 28, 2011 @ 6:59 pm | delete
I use a separate email account for these sign ups, so I won't give my main email address away, plus it keeps all the deal emails in one location. You can get free email accounts at Gmail and Yahoo etc,
  • ddixonart Feb 4, 2012 @ 8:52 am | delete
Fran, good point. There is some work involved. It can be frustrating at the beginning. If you use Facebook, there are 2 great groups I would recommend you check out. The first is Secrets of the Coupon Pro, the 2nd one is Making Cents of Coupons. The folks there are more than happy to give help and advice and even help you find coupons. There is a handy coupon database on SouthernSavers.com -- click on the button that reads "Coupon Database" and you can type in what you are looking for. If you get frustrated by the struggle, then stick with the Coupons.com link I have above. They don't require a sign up, at least the first time. I love them for that. I too get annoyed by coupon printing companies wanting me to jump through hoops to get a dang coupon! But I guess that offsets their costs of granting the coupon when they have our marketing information.
