Guide to Printer Leasing

A brief guide to renting a printer, with help and tips, suitable for all businesses.

Printer Renting Help and Tips

Printer rental and equipment leasing has become common place in today's business markets; there are some great benefits for companies pursuing the renting strategy compared to investing in equipment.

One of the major benefits from renting comes from the lowering of the amount of working capital tied up in expensive equipment. This is especially relevant to small businesses that have a much smaller pool of readily available money to finance their business. There is also the benefit of avoiding obsolescence, which can be a major problem and drag a company behind its competitors. But by the ease at which upgrades can be organised with a xerox lease for example, these upgrades have little or no financial outlay depending on the terms of the agreement, solving obsolescence. Often delivery, installation, repair, maintenance and printer consumables are all included in the leasing price which is also another financially secure way of dealing with printer equipment requirements.

For certain types of businesses, those that have either seasonal or temporary workloads such as specified project work, then printer leasing becomes essential in order to keep the flexible set of resources that is needed for the business to work effectively. There is no doubt that for those starting a new business, using an affordable lease agreement enables start up businesses to take fewer financial risks and certainly at such an important time for a business any cost saving exercises can be of a great benefit. For example buying xerox printers can be a large financial outlay for a new company.

When looking at leasing there are a number of ways that you can make sure that you are getting the best deal for your company. When you are looking at the leasing company try to evaluate their experience, their reputation and their ability to perform, for instance get a list of recently completed leases or ask for background information on key managers. You must always do your homework on the companies involved. For example there are lots of companies that offer xerox phaser leases so try and get as many different leasing bids as possible from the best companies you have looked at. Make sure they have favourable end of lease options without expensive early termination costs with short renewal periods to avoid unintended lease charges. Also equipment returns can sometimes increase the cost of a lease if they aren't managed properly; normally companies are held accountable for the condition of the returned equipment. It is also a good idea to request several end of lease options, end of lease flexibility prevents you from incurring additional, non foreseen expenses.

There is a great deal of leasing options available at First Choice from renting xerox colour printers to fax machines. First Choice has created a fast and efficient process for your printer leasing applications and requirements.
