Why prison videos?
One of my son's friends went to prison recently for stealing a computer. He had some prior charges against him also for stealing. Then he missed the appointment with the judge and his bail bond was forfeited. He is now waiting for trial. This may take months.
The prison experience is haunting, vivid and just plain awful. Because most people have never been in a prison they have little or no fear of prison. I am sure some people, especially the younger ones, may even have a weird romantic idea of prison. I think the best way to understand what prison is like is to

The Château d'If
The prison is off the southeastern coast of France

The Château d'If is located in the
Mediterranean Sea about a mile off the the Bay of Marseille in southeastern France. People know it as one of the settings for Alexandre Dumas' adventure novel
The Count of Monte Cristo.
The château is a square, three-story building 28 m long on each side, flanked by three towers with large gun embrasures. The remainder of the island, which only measures 30,000 square meters, is heavily fortified; high ramparts with gun platforms surmount the island's cliffs.

Prison Town
P.O.V. | Prison Town USA | Preview | PBS
In the 1990s, at the height of the prison-building boom, a prison opened in rural America every 15 days. "Prison Town, USA," airing on PBS's P.O.V. series on July 24, 2007, tells the story of Susanville, one California town that tries to resuscitate its economy by building a prison — with unforeseen consequences. Weaving the stories of a laid-off mill worker turned guard, a struggling dairy owner and an inmate's family stranded in Susanville, the film illuminates the legacy of an industry that is transforming rural America. A co-production with the Independent Television Service (ITVS). Find out more about this film and other P.O.V. films at www.pbs.org/pov

- I was sentencad to 27 years for armed robbery. I was supporting a drug habit. I was in Pelican Bay for 5 years. I am now off of parole and teaching art. I became a certified Graphic Artit inside. Arts in Corrections was my saving grace. Once I saw that I could do something better with my life I jumped on it. Arts can transform a person.

- we should love our spouses as we love ourselves ,and respect one another remember its better to be together than apart if you man is in jail remember all the times you argued with him , now dont you wish you would of just loved him by talking and working thru any problems that a rise,I guess it takes growing up to realize your mistakes and being woman or man enough not to make them again remember marriage is all about being happy with the partner you chose to spend the rest of your life with so why dont you just be happy and do the things that is right remember any thing you do in the dark will come to the light so live you life doing good things that way you will be happy.
