Acne hit about two months into my freshman year of high school. I sarcastically say, "What a good time for it, right?" My first year of high school and if it wasn't the fact that I was already the skinny kid, now I had pimples too. Awesome. :)

School and video games. Sure, I had friends. But I never wanted to show myself around them because I felt that my acne was just that bad. My daily life consisted of going to school, coming home, and then playing Madden NFL Football on Xbox for 6 hours. I'd then wake up, and repeat the process all over again.

You may think that this sequence was completely normal for someone my age, but the truth is, I really did want to go out and enjoy life. But again, my acne was holding me back.

Discovering Proactiv
One night I was staying up quite late. I was always into watching infomercials. It's so funny to watch people BS scams. It's just great. Lol. So I was flipping through channels and sure enough, Jessica Simpson was on an infomercial talking about a new product called Proactiv.

When I got Proactiv I was so excited. I opened the packages and... applied the 3 step solutions on my face right away. Looks like someone forgot to read the instructions. And for the next month, I forgot to read the instructions. Next thing you know, I've wasted almost an entire set of Proactiv. Not only that, but my acne actually became worse because of it.

• Applying too much and too often.
• Applying too little.

• Applying roughly instead of gently.
• Applying the steps in the wrong order.
• Not using a moisturizer.
• Not being patient.
• Not being consistent
• And I am almost certain that this list could go on forever.

With all of the possible mistakes that people can make with this product, it is no wonder why so many people believe that it just doesn't work for them.

When used correctly and consistently, Proactiv is an amazing topical acne treatment.
