Increase Online Traffic With Professional SEO

Before I give details I want to explain a simple process I created for this site: Business Directoriez web site.

First I set up a simple php link bid directory using software i purchased for about $25.00. Then I had my design come in and change the look and feel in which I paid approx $500.00 to have it designed and turned into xhtml. This price may seem low or high depending on your experience using web designers, but keep in mind this is xhtml/css and now this database driven website validate according to http://validator.w3.org/ site. As far as I can tell, no other link bid site pass 100% as a valid site, so I am proud to say mine does.

Then, I proceeded to get some links for this site from some nice ranking sites and spend about $200.00 on those links.

After this, I created a press release and 2 articles which I submitted to gain even more back links.

Next, I installed a wordpress blog and wrote a small amount of posts so far (though more will be coming)... It is important to note that I installed the wordpress directly on the site and you can even see a link to "blog" at the top portion of the design and also note that the blog matches the look and feel. Plus added a few plugins and tweaks to optimize the blogs power for SEO purposes.

At the time of this writing the site is approx 3 months old and went from 400 + visitors the first month to over 2100 visits this 3rd month. Now I am not boasting of the huge traffic, but what i am proud of is the type of traffic I am getting are based on related keywords to that site and most of the traffic is from Google. Not to mention the site already has a pagerank of 2.

My point is to explain what I did and costs I incurred so far. If you take a look at the site you will see already people are paying to list on this site and each week I expect more and more people to pay to be listed here.

The lesson here is that with some effort and a bit of money you can start to see results in a short period of time and without using software or ebooks, etc.

I do plan on investing more in time and money for that site and the more money it brings in, the more I will be able to do.

You need to get momentum and keep it going if you want to increase website traffic. You need to start using blogs, articles, website copy and submit to bookmarking and networking sites. If you enjoy what you are promoting online the words will come easy. You can always hire a ghost writer as well, but be consistent.

I will provide more ideas and techniques, but wanted this first article to be more of an example on how to get things started. I have other sites that have been around for years and make great money on a monthly basis, but knowing that many people who are trying to figure out how to generate traffic are just getting into this business and or just building their site up, I figured this will help out to give hope that you can make your business work online.

3. Read the whole article and leave an educated comment by either complementing on what you liked, giving positive critique, adding some of your own knowledge or asking a question.
