Are Professional Athletes Paid Too Much?

Yes!

I think that professional athletes are paid too much money. It's fine for a company to endorse an athlete but for a sports organization to pay huge salaries is ridiculous. I think that players should be paid based on their position and tenure to a team. Why should one team have a better chance at winning because they have more money to pay their players?

I also think that paying large salaries increases tickets prices. Sports teams need to provide affordable ticket prices to families. It's sad to see that it costs a family of 4 $100 to spend the day at the ball park. What do you think?

Professional sports salaries are REEEDICULOUS now! Without sports, what would a LOT of these guys be doing, and how much would they get paid doing it??? Many of them are still acting like thugs with all the money, imagine them without it. What a joke. its okay for them to be paid large sums but not in the millions and half a millions they need to focus on sending some of that money to schools that need new books and computers, and needy families in Third world countries. Athletes barely ever spend money on stuff like that they only spend it on cars, clothes, sex, drugs, and other material things, no one needs a million dollar house rent a hotel dummies!!!!!

NBA, NFL and MLB have a monopoly. Supply and demand cannot function correctly if there is no other pro league that can offer the same kind of quality as these 3 organization. These organizations really have no competition therefore they could make tickets as pricey as they like and that why they can build fancy stadiums and that why they attract such large crowds

Sports players will not refuse money if they are offered it. They help the stadium my selling tickets so they should get payed a lot more money. You don't get payed more if you are morally correct. These guys have a talent that they are lucky to have. It just so happens this talent gets them more money.
