Roulette Systems have been designed to beat the House Edge

Using roulette systems is a traditional way to play roulette. These systems are designed to beat the house edge and give players the best chances of winning. Some roulette systems are progression systems and some are non-progression systems. There are important differences apparent in each type, and both types have its own strengths and weaknesses.

Progression Systems

Negative and Positive Progression

Progression systems are divided into a few different categories. The two most popular methods of using a progression system are to use either negative progression or positive progression. Both system types are an attempt to play against the house odds, and both systems can be played out over a long period of time.

Negative vs Positive Progression

Both have their Pros and Cons

Roulette systems utilizing negative progression require that the player raise their wager after losing money. The Martingale Progression, as well as some other roulette systems, requires that each bet be steadily higher. When a negative progression system is followed to completion, a final win, even after a lot of losses, will still make the player a winner. The main problem with this type of system is the large bets that are often required to sustain it.

Negative progression is the other main progression type, and is often called pyramiding. When playing this system, the player must have already won some amount, which is then used to win more. To keep this system in motion, the roulette player has to keep winning, which is improbable when playing a game of chance. And if the winnings are lost, the system comes to an abrupt end.

Casinos are aware of Roulette Systems

Table Limits limit the affectiveness of Roulette Systems

Most casinos are aware of the systems that players use to try to beat the odds. Some casinos have instituted wager limits for each single roulette wager to try to dissuade players from using progression systems. Other casinos have actually imposed limits on the amount of rounds in a row one player can play. To get around table maximums, players have to be more creative than ever to try to get around the system.

Because of table limits, many players prefer to use no-progression roulette systems. There are many ways to use these systems, and each relies on a different strategy. Some of these require the player to notice a pattern within the numbers that the ball lands on, and then playing accordingly. Others have different methods, but all provide the player with a way to predict where the ball will land next.

Before deciding on a system for roulette, think about which system will work better with your amount of money to wager, the amount of time available to you for playing roulette, and what odds the system has to offer you. There are systems that may work better for you than others, depending on these criteria, and a few systems out there may have very little to offer you.
