Benefits of a proper diet - whether for losing weight or just eating healthy

We all know there are numerous reasons to lose weight but I'm going to list below what I think some of the everyday benefits are to losing weight, besides just making you generally healthier, healthy weight loss can be a big plus in activities you do daily and should be a way of life.

HEALTH 

Overweight or obesity can lead to a lot of health complications up to and including an early death so take care to prevent this as soon as possible.

SELF CONFIDENCE  

A lot of people are not confident about themselves because of the way they look and this transfers to other parts of their lives such as job interviews or simple interactions with the opposite sex or other people in general. Confidence about how you look also transfers to other parts of your life and it shows if you're confident other people will respect what you have to say a lot more.

ENERGY 

Being at a healthy weight will give you more energy in all your day to day activities from running to walking to simply lifting a package. Have you ever just felt sluggish or lazy? This could be why.

MOBILITY 

People who are not healthy or at a healthy body weight can generally move easier, faster and more efficient with a lot less effort. Less effort means less energy, less energy means a more stable heart rate and a more stable heart rate means easier breathing.

OVERALL QUALITY OF LIFE  

This isn't just for weight it goes for general health but is still worth mentioning because people who are healthier tend to feel better about themselves which we all want to be able to do.

 

Just to be clear there are a lot of skinny people out there who are in the same or even worse condition than some people who are overweight and this is due to their diet. Changing the way you eat can go a long way whether you overweight or not and a proper diet is definitely not just for people who are overweight.
