Prossack Designs - handmade jewelry for your body, your life, and your home

As I say in the bio over there - I am an eclectic artisan - over the years I have experimented with many art/craft forms, and I continue to experiment. I was a professional calligrapher for many years, and in conjunction with that, I learned the art of hand marbling - a beautiful, ancient Turkish art of creating patterns on paper. Now, the majority of marbled paper is done in more muted palettes - which doesn't exactly suit me! So the papers I created tend to be exuberantly colored, though I have been known to use more serene palettes too. For many years I created jewelry, journals and notebooks, stationary, and different decorative objects out of my original marbled papers. Unfortunately, also over the years, I have developed chemical sensitivities, so I have not been able to produce any new papers. But one day I realized that I can use my computer to help me create new papers from my original sheets :)

That gave birth to my new jewelry, and a slew of other ideas.

These cards feature reproductions and variations of my original hand marbled papers. The papers are all hand-cut for the cards, so there will always be slight differences in the cards, even when cut from the same sheet. The card are blank inside, and can be used for anything - correspondence, thank yous, birthdays and other important days, as a gift card...you get the idea!

I started making these again after a customer from years back tracked me down, because she wanted to use these as thank you cards for her wedding.
