I recommend programming your number, the police department number and the number of a close friend or relative. You can also record a message that it will play when someone answers, something like "Burglar detected at 111 Main St. please send the police immediately". This very handy if you are going out of town. If someone breaks into your house the alarm will call you and the police so you know there is something wrong.
