Use Seaweed To Protect Yourself From Radiation Poisoning
Brown Seaweed Protects ALL of Your Organs
Unlike iodine pills, brown seaweed protects all of your organs not only from active radiation poisoning but also from damage you may already have had due to heavy metals or contaminated foods.
According to Ron Teegarden, founder of Dragon Herbs, seaweed is considered a superfood for all of its health benefits. Of all the seaweeds, brown seaweed is one of the best. Dragon Herbs sells a form of this seaweed called LaminEssence. It particularly fights against the effects of radiation poisoning, protects the thyroid, and acts as an anti-aging agent for all body systems. It was researched and developed initially in Russia to help the people affected by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
LaminEssence also releases heavy metals from the body from smoke inhalation. Japanese living near the nuclear plants and other burning buildings have been affected toxic smoke, but just second hand cigarette smoke or smog can build up heavy metals in your system.
Since a big concern of radiation poisoning is it's ability to show up in our food stream, LaminEssence creates immediate protection if consumed before a meal. It boosts the immune system and helps in weight loss...what's not to love about this amazing superfood!?
Although there are other seaweeds on the market, LaminEssence is known for its bioavailability. One of the most interesting facts is that brown seaweed only grows in one place in the world...near the Kuril Islands north of Japan! (And no these islands and their surrounding oceans have NOT be contaminated by radiation).
The Debate About Nuclear Energy
Does the potential for disaster outway the benefits?
Is nuclear energy something to continue?

Yes, and here's why I think it's a good and safe way to go...
JoanneOtt says:
I'm actually not sure, but not totally opposed to it. However, I do think nuclear plants should not be built in known earlthquake zones.
RinchenChodron says:
I have opposed nuclear power since before Chernobyll - now they have been discussing putting a nuclear power plant in Colorado - but WHY when we have all this sun and wind? Both sun or wind power are much cheaper to produce! Let's go green Much healthier!
No, the risks are too great such as...
victoria powell says:
no! no!no! suicide is not my way of thinking. The only reason we have to put up with nuclear plants that are built on earthquake faults right now is because only the extra stupid are in power, with stolen money from the taxpayer, and without a care one, as to what the people want! as long as stupid can satisfy their champagne taste on the work and sweat of the people. The government as it is today, has become so corrupt, our wishes are not considered for one moment, as thay continue to live the high life on our money, and tell us we know nothing!
Alexandra says:
No. The risks are too great and there are alternative forms of energy. This obsession with lowering our carbon footprints is giving the nuclear power industry an opening to push their agenda. How many disasters will it take for people to wake up and realize that nuclear energy has too many risks?
Going Green Means Going Nuclear
A pro nuclear explanation
Power to Save the World: The Truth About Nuclear Energy
Amazon Price: $5.11 (as of 06/03/2012)![]()
The author says this in her introduction: "I used to oppose nuclear power, even though the Sierra Club supported it. By the mid-1970s the Sierra Club turned against nuclear power too. However, as we witness the catastrophic consequences of accelerated global temperature increase, prominent environmentalists as well as skeptics like me have started taking a fresh look at nuclear energy. A large percentage of the heat-trapping greenhouse gases, especially carbon dioxide, that thaw Arctic ice and glaciers comes from making electricity, and we rely upon it every second of our lives."

Insurmountable Risks: The Dangers of Using Nuclear Power to Combat Global Climate Change
Amazon Price: $8.59 (as of 06/03/2012)![]()
How much will nuclear energy cost relative to other means of getting rid of carbon dioxide emissions? What will be the risks of catastrophic accidents if we build reactors at the rate of one a week or more, cookie-cutter style, around the world? What about the risks of proliferation and terrorist attacks and nuclear waste? This book provides a meticulously researched analysis of the risks of using nuclear energy to combat global warming. Were there no alternative, the severity of the threat facing humankind and other species from global climate change might warrant serious consideration of the risks of nuclear energy. But as Insurmountable Risks convincingly shows, there are far safer economical alternatives.

- Iodine pills have side effects. I live at the Pacific Coast, and heard a pharmacist here was refusing to give the pills to people who were asking for them, unless they had a prescription from a doctor. He said people are not aware they shouldn't be taken by just anyone. However, the supplement sounds like a very safe alternative.

- Now the seaweed in the sea outside Northern Japan may be contiminated? The old pills may be safe - but why not just take iodine pills. Great idea for a lens.

- Good point, Marsha! However, iodine pills only protect your thyroid while LaminEssence protects all of your organs. The seas where the brown seaweed is collected is quite far north of Japan (in fact, Russia claims the seas as well).
