I personally wear an arrow head and pentagram around my neck at all times. I also have a special protection sachet I made which I carry in my handbag with me all the time. I love my amulets and talismans, couldn't live without them. Love your lens by the way!!!!

I was recently given the gift of some Topaz during a visualisation under hypnosis. I don't know why exactly but I am on the search now for the perfect Topaz amulet. That's what led me to this lens. I enjoyed this lens very much!
  • InspirationbyDmarie Feb 22, 2012 @ 5:08 pm | delete
I consider the crucifix I wear daily the best protection available! Good lens and was fun to read.
  • satto76 Feb 21, 2012 @ 6:54 am | delete
The evil eye concept seems universal. In very remote villages where the folks are not in communication with the modern world also use amulets and herbs for the protection from the evil eye.

Oh, that was a fun read, and it's given some more ideas for jewelry! Thank you.
  • Beadsnresin Jan 13, 2012 @ 5:50 pm | delete
    Really good lens, thanks.
  • kimark421 Jan 12, 2012 @ 5:55 pm | delete
I have a dragon necklace that I wear. I've had it so long that I can't remember why I thought it was lucky, but apparently I have convinced myself that it is.

    Great lens!

I should wear my turquoise more often!

Hey, great lens! I made a similar one, but you elaborate awesomely! Great job!

Thanks for taking the mystery out of what some of the symbols mean, we see them at fairs and such but I never knew exactly what they meant. Thanks !!!

I don't know if I really believe this stuff, but still quite fascinating!
  • WildFacesGallery Oct 6, 2011 @ 10:14 pm | delete
Really a very interesting read. There's a lot here I didn't know. I'm not the superstitious type but certainly don't mock those who do. After all what is religion but a faith based on the unkown.
  • Domique21 Sep 9, 2011 @ 12:29 am | delete
I had a friend who has an amulet because her grandfather is a "babaylan".
  • jamesnodturft Jun 7, 2011 @ 8:47 am | delete
Very nice lens. It is my understanding that the purpose of the horseshoe is not to protect from evil but to "collect" good luck and so to bless the person who owns it.
  • JayPicklo May 8, 2011 @ 1:08 pm | delete
Is is really superstition? I don't believe it is.

Thank you very much for your sharing and I love all amulets. You can visit me in my lens about amulets from Thailand. Nice to meet U...((^ . ^))

Very interesting lens! I live in Guatemala and here they use red beaded bracelets on the babies to ward off the evil eye. My Russian friend ties a red thread around her son's little ankle for the same reason. I find it fascinating to see what is popular around the world.

When I first began to drive, somehow a little toy superman ended up in my glove box. It stayed there till I sold the car. I moved it directly to the new car and into the center storage box in the Sunfire I owned. It stayed there for the 8 years I owned it. Now it is in the Focus I drive now. I refuse to take it out of any car I drive regularly. It has become a good luck charm. It has kept me out of any real accidents over the years. As long as I am driving, it will stay in the glove box.

    Another awesome lens!
  • ShamanicShift Sep 12, 2010 @ 12:36 pm | delete
Oops! I meant Featured, not lensrolled. I cannot lensroll for that one because it isn't out of WIP yet, even though it has lots of modules, maybe because it is brand new, or maybe because of the name (LOL).
  • ShamanicShift Sep 12, 2010 @ 12:33 pm | delete
I just liked, favorited and lensrolled this excellent lens on my evil-spirits lens (about one shamanic view and other views).

It's now transformed into a lensography and I would love it if you could feature it here, or lensroll it or something.

I use agates for protection from harm.

I find it really helps. People that would normaly be mean to me would be nice or at least act normal.

The best information I've found about crystals is by lazaris. Here's a link Metaphysical Properties of Crystals

Very interesting lens and great products offered, too! I've rated it a 5, added to my favs and lensrolled this into several of my related lenses. Great job!
  • Mastergreed May 2, 2009 @ 11:35 am | delete
Honestly, everything works as amulet or talisman as long as the owner believe in this. That is why my best protection is my own mind :).
