Debunking Timeshare Myths to Provide Relief for Timeshare Owners
There are various timeshare myths that are circulating, some are said to be against timeshares but most of these actually benefit timeshare agents and companies. In one of the latest blogs of Jason Tremblay, the CEO of Sell My Timeshare NOW, he debunked three myths on timeshares.
The myths that he debunked says that "Timeshare is a financial investment," "Timeshare is worthless on the resale market," and "If a company charges you to advertise your timeshare resale, the company is unethical." This is not the first discussion on the said myths but such beliefs continue to stand amidst efforts to correct it.

The Timeshare Myths
So, let us revisit the first myth that he discussed and try to squeeze in more facts. Timeshare as a financial investment is normally used by timeshare sales agents who are trying to increase their sales. It is in the light that people are mostly open to spend on things that they can also earn from in the end. However, timeshare actually looses its value in time. So selling it will not lead to profit. Even permanent houses nowadays are not always considered as an investment because of the shaky financial status of the world. Timeshares may only be considered an investment in terms of the health benefits that vacationing offers which timeshare makes available.
Hopefully, people who are looking to purchase a timeshare come to realize the fact that timeshares are not financially profitable in the long run. They might even end up seeking for timeshare relief because of the financial responsibilities associated with the property. So, they should not in any way look at a timeshare as an investment.

Debunking Timeshare Myths to Provide Relief for Timeshare Owners - Part II
The second myth on timeshares stated in one of the latest blogs of Jason Tremblay, the CEO of Sell My Timeshare NOW, that he debunked says that "Timeshare is worthless on the resale market." This is closely related to the issue that timeshares are difficult to sell. And various reasons were also raised regarding that matter.
So, is it really a myth that timeshares are worthless in the resale market? Tremblay pointed out those timeshare owners who are trying to find buyers of their timeshares are having difficulties doing so because they are conducting their business transactions in the wrong places. He is actually suggesting that there are right places in terms of selling the property. He does have a point.

Value of Timeshares
The question however is, if the owners go to these right venues, what "value of timeshares" are they actually going to find there? Will they be able to sell their timeshares at a rate higher than the amount they paid before? Or will it be at least along the amount of the initial payment they made for their timeshares when they first bought it? If the answers to these clarifications are no, then those who are suggesting that timeshares do not have value in the timeshare resale market are right. Because if the timeshare owner cannot sell it at a good rate which should be at least along the amount they paid for it, then, it does not really have a value in the timeshare market. This may be the reason why such information continues to stand amidst efforts to debunk it.
Massachusetts Timeshare Owners Warned by AG's for their Relief
The timeshare industry is known to be perpetuated by scammers and fraudsters affecting a number of timeshare owners seeking for timeshare relief. The state of Massachusetts was not spared by such perpetuation and the Attorney General of Massachusetts already raised her concern over such predicament.
Timeshare owners are enticed by these supposedly timeshare resale companies to sell their timeshare packages through a call. A representative calls up a timeshare owner and informs him of a willing buyer of the timeshare package. And because the owner is more or less considering getting out of the timeshare contract because of the burden it brings timeshare owners, the owner considers the invitation of the representative. He immediately heeds the instruction of the representative to pay for the processing of the sales without much awareness that no such sales will occur. After payment, the timeshare resale company becomes difficult to reach and the timeshare reseller ends up keeping his timeshare as well as the money he released for the processing of the resale.
With a number of timeshare resellers hit by these scammers and fraudsters in Massachusetts, Attorney General Martha Coakley warns timeshare owners who want to get out of their timeshare contracts to be vigilant in the transactions that they go into. Without their awareness of the existence of these scams and frauds, they will end up keeping their timeshares instead of
getting rid of their timeshare packages right after paying the supposedly timeshare reselling company.
Gain Relief from Renting Out your Timeshare
Selling has become one of the first options for timeshare owners that are seeking timeshare relief. Lately, another strategy made its way to most timeshare owners. Having the property for rent as a way to help them cope up with the costs they get to pay every year such as maintenance fees and property taxes. This goes for other owners who still have loans with their timeshare, the money they get from the rental aid in speeding up the payment process.Today, there is a high demand in timeshare renting where vacationers can save a lot on their vacation expenses. That is why, what timeshare owners do is that they keep a fully equipped timeshare with kitchen, living rooms, entertainment system to attract people in choosing their property.
This is just in time to help the owners in dealing with the global recession. The economy hasn't been stable for the past years. A lot of timeshare owners had been affected with the recession some had been starting to have difficulties in maintaining the timeshare. So, they let their timeshares to be rented out for as low as $400 a week, sometimes prices may range from $600- $1,200.
While the continuing global recession is still hurting much of our timeshare owners, the opportunity for having timeshares for rent is a way to stop them from getting rid of their timeshares. If selling or trading is not an option for them, renting can be a good choice.
