The pc tv is generally set up so you can receive it with a 56k connection but obviously the faster the better. For the most part you need to be getting a strong signal to ensure smooth operation but with the number of channels offered that's not usually much of a problem. When going to a full screen mode you tend to lose some of the picture quality but even with that, it's certainly worth it and improvements are always being made.
