From history to now people have struggled.

People of the world have struggled through time. From the Great Dying, ice epochs, floods, earthquakes, and world wars of the world and its history has recorded many life altering events.
But we as people persevere and live on. Let us celebrate human triumphs and our resilience.

Hawaii's needs and changes for the future.

Some of the struggles of Hawaii's people are ...

Due to money problems there will be no more racing in Oahu, Hawaii-gone is the Hawaii Raceway Park at Campbell Industrial Park. Hawaii racers are now needing to find a place for them to race. For many decades there has been a raceway park on the island of Oahu where many have gone to participate or as a spectator to enjoy car racing! To help these people,
Hawaii's Racer to achieve their dreams-thanks in advance.

Good news for the racers and spectators! The latest on the new raceway park, Kalaeloa Raceway Park. Heads-up! Newer developements for a race track in Hawaii. buildthetrack.com is coming through for the spectators and car racers. There will be a Motor Sports Show at the Aloha Tower 6/20/09 for the Build the Track people.

Going green is now what some NASCAR's racers are doing. Leilani Munter going green. For more information (808) 593-0255.

To have or not to have a rail transit system in Hawaii has begun quite a debate for both sides. Then we had a symposium about the rail transit system. Many were wondering, me including, about the rail transit system that created "Support Rail Transit in Hawaii". "Support Rail Transit" in Hawaii has an opponent "Stop Rail Now" too. It seems many will be displaced with eviction if the rail transit is built too. City & County voted and now it's official that the 5.4 billion dollar rail transit system will be built by 2019.
Hawaiian Railway located in Ewa, Hawaii on the island of Oahu. My mothers friends mentioned when they were little they rode the train into town to do shopping.

Bowiling anyone!
There are many different kinds of sports in Hawaii, one is bowling. Throughout the decades many enjoy the art of bowling until recently. Some others offer alternative alleys on military bases. Lets keep our fingers crossed that bowlers of Hawaii have bowling alleys to bowl.
Looks like a happy ending for all concerned about saving the bowling alleys in Hawaii. Council Member Ann Kobayashi urged forming the Honolulu Bowling Steering Commission, which is now headed by Mr. Ed Sun. His student Mr. Apo pitched the idea to save the Kahala bowling alley to The Andersons, who own the Colonial Lanes Centers in Minnesota. Michael and Matthew Anderson said they'd be willing to help. Council Member Ann Kobayashi is running for Mayor of Honolulu in the 2008 vote. She and other Council Members are going through a complaint put to the Ethics Commission. Council members Donovan M. Dela Cruz, Charles K. Djou are also being investigated. Mayoral debate is set for Tuesday 9/9/08, locally on KBMB9 at 6:30P.M.

Peoples triumphs!

Through it all we struggle and live on.

Computer news you got to know about

Today the indispensable computer has given us great things to do and the bad ones spoil it all the time.

Jeffrey Litvinoff has a column for us to read in the Honolulu Star Bulletin. He writes " ... Speaking of Microsoft...people are getting emails from "Microsoft" saying that they need to download new updates. Microsoft does not send out emails to customers telling them to download updates. THESE ARE FAKE, and if you do follow the links to these downloads, you will be infected with virus/spyware. This is what is called phising scams that make you think you are going to a legitimate website when in fact you are going to a potentially dangerous website...." end user beware!
(Excerpt from Honolulu Star Bulletin "Hot Tips from the Professionals: Expert Advice On Today's Biggest Questions." Page 45 of July 26, 2009.)

Computer problems? Being proactive about your computer to put in security systems free or fee maybe the best thing for computer use. The way many articles in the newspapers are shaping up about computer crime, you'll need more than a login and password for safe and fun computer use.
I found ScamBusters.org which is very helpful and has a lot of information to combat and win from internet crimes of all kinds. Another site that I found for the whole family's safety is Internet Safety.
If there is a problem with information theft-data breaches or name theft go directly to these two sites:
1. Federal Trade Commission's site: ftc.gov/idtheft.
2. Identity Theft Resource Center . org too has lots of helpful information of whatever you, your business (medical industry and banking industry help can be found here too), and whatever the situation is to help you be safe and protected.
