Playstation 3 Trophy Cards

Your Gamer Cards is probably the best of the automatic update cards. The site is constantly being updated adding new features when required with the older less used features being dropped.

Once you have created your gamer card and Your Gamer Cards has you in their database you can search for yourself by PSN ID and check out your trophy list. Once in your trophy list if you click on one of the games it will take you to the game's trophy list and highlight the trophies you have achieved. This makes it very easy to tell which trophies you still need to work on (even the hidden trophies are shown). All the trophies also show how many people (that are in the Your Gamer Cards database) have earned it, together with a percentage of total people who have it and from that it will tell you how easy said trophy is.

One of the new features of Your Gamer Cards site is the ability to leave tips for individual trophies. Unfortunately, at the moment this is a very under utilized feature, but as more people find out about it the more chance that that feature will become more popular.

Your Gamer Cards also used to support gamer cards for games like Socom Confrontation, Resistance 2, Killzone 2, Battlefield 1943, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Uncharted 2, Modnation Racers and Call of Duty 5; but this feature seems to have been dropped, maybe it will come back, maybe it won't.

LUSOGAMER is a Portuguese site but it is really easy to get a gamer card from. All you do is enter your PSN ID and click on the generate button and it will make you a gamer card just like the one above. Like most of the best gamer cards this one is automatic updating, so if you like the card go check out the site. This card also updates slightly faster than the Your Gamer Cards card. For those of you with multi-systems eXophase.com does a card that covers PSN, Live and Steam. This card will show 2 accounts on one card and you can mix and match, my card shows 2 different PSN accounts. The card will show one account on the top and another account at the bottom. Here is the link:

UK Card

This is the trophy card that I don't like. It is a semi-automatic updating card as in you have to visit your profile and click a link to update your psn stats (it also seems to update whenever you log into the official EU Playstation forums). On this site you can view your trophies and compare them with your PSN friends. There is no leaderboard and there is no way of comparing your trophies with people who aren't your friends. You also get auto-logged out of the site which is okay if you forget to log out, but it can log you out while you are trying to compare your trophies with people.

Also the link it gives you is very unprofessional. If you click on someones trophy card when you are not logged into Sony's official site (and don't forget the stupid site auto logs you out after about 15 minutes and this auto log out is nothing to do with inactivity on the site) the site will ask you to log in. Once you log in you are not taking to the profile you wanted to view you are taken to your own and since the link doesn't open a new window for you (mine does because I added the little bit of code that the official link has missing) you have to start clicking on the back button to get back to the site you left (which for me wouldn't let me get back without using the history button). Now it gets even sillier, if you are logged into Sony's official site and you click on someone's trophy card it still won't take you to their profile it sends you to the registration page. So if you want to get clever, you copy and paste the link into your browser ... you still get sent to the registration page, it doesn't even matter if this person is on your PSN friends list ... so really the link is sodding useless.

US Card

The US card is better than the UK one as you can view other peoples trophies but it is still not auto-updating.

Battletracker was a good trophy site when it first started but ever since Sony changed the way trophies were saved on their servers Battletracker started picking up wrong information from it. It does automatically update your trophy card but it picks up the wrong trophies so it can display images of trophies you haven't got ... but ... the trophy amount and trophy score is always correct. It is also fairly erratic to when it updates.

There are three sites with the name PS3Trophies, .co.uk, .com and .org. All three are what is known as Trophy Whore Sites, ie sites built specifically to aid people in their trophy pursuits.

PS3Trophies.co.uk was the first ever PS3 trophy site and was the best for a long time, but it went through a bad time that virually killed it off and most of its membership left. Thankfully though PS3Trophies.co.uk has regained some of its former glory and is a good site once again and is fairly good for trophy hunting as you can view trophy lists and the trophies you don't have are greyed out so you know which trophies you need without the tedium of trying to figure it out on your XMB (your trophies do have to by synced for this to work). It also has a fairly good trophy card. Unfortunately the game database they are using is out of date so this feature only works on older games. Overall though the site is worth checking out. The trophy card and trophy card features are broken ... again.

PS3Trophies.org is more of a trophy list site (with forum) and has some of the best trophy guides around.

PS3Trophies.com's trophy cards are not too bad but they only update if someone clicks on your profile. But they do have a nice card that shows the trophies on the current game you are playing.

One of the most popular of the Playstation 3 Trophy Cards is the one that is powered by MMOS. The site is basically a trophy card generator and a leaderboard and it has created over 200,000 trophy cards for PS3 users and the leaderboard is very competitive. This card is a true trophy whore card, so if you are just a casual trophy collector like me you will be amazed at how badly you place on the leaderboard. Another thing to consider is that 200,000 is a small fraction of all PS3 users and if you think you place badly on this leaderboard just think how badly you would place if every PS3 user had signed up for this site.

This site stopped has stopped working, it seems that most of the users have migrated to Your Gamer Cards.

Total Music Gaming is a site dedicated to music gaming, ie games like Singstar, Band Hero and DJ Hero. At this site you can compare scores with your friends, get a gaming card like the one shown and generally communicate with the music gaming community. I have only just signed up for the site and haven't yet played a music game so I can't give a full review of the site. But if music gaming is your thing I'm sure you will enjoy this site.
