The Great PS3 Trophy Debate
Now even though trophies are not an essential part of games I would much rather play a game that has trophies - unless of course the game is so good that it doesn't matter - than a game that may have trophies in the near future as my game playing time is limited and I don't really want to replay a game just for trophies when there are so many other good games out there to play.
Also, as far as I am aware XBox360 achievements are a compulsory requirement for games as laid down by Microsoft and so in my opinion the same should now apply for all PS3 games.

It don't bother me. It's a nice little gimmick, but to be honest, they don't make a difference to me. If there was a little something you gained from doing it then maybe, but mer! I don't wanna spend forever on a game, getting so frustrated trying to get a "platinum trophy" just to brag.

Rattyocaster says:
Trophies are great, but it wouldn't affect my choice of games in the slightest. They simply add a little more replay value to get some of the trophies you didn't get first time through. For example, if I had a 360 and a PS3 and a game came out for both yet the PS3 one didn't have Trophies yet the 360 version had acheivements, I would still buy the PS3 version because I prefer that console. They're just nice if they're included, not essential.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Star Wars:
The Force Unleashed

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed tells the story of Darth Vader's secret apprentice, code-named "Starkiller" but born Galen Marek,[7] as he hunts down the remaining Jedi after Emperor Palpatine orders them killed.[8][9] Set between Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, the story explores the aftermath of the Great Jedi Purge as well as the rise of Darth Vader. The events of The Force Unleashed are "pivotal" in Darth Vader's history and development as a character, and offer illumination into other characters from A New Hope, Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, and Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will NOT have trophy support on release when confronted about it Adam Kahn, LucasArts Senior PR Manager responded with:
"The Force Unleashed does not support the trophy system on PS3. I can't speculate about what might happen in the future, though."
Will the non-existence of Trophy support influence your desicion on buying Star Wars: The Force Unleashed?

Luke Trophywalker says:
Even though The Force Unleashed has been out for a while now, making it easy to pick up as a bargain I will still not get this game until it gets trophy patched (like that will happen). There are too many games out there now with trophies to waste time playing trophyless games, and I am not the only one that feels this way.

Finally, after nearly a year of waiting Star Wars: The Force Unleashed has received a trophy patch. It has also received new DLC which can be found on the PSN store and it will also be released on the Sith Edition of The Force Unleashed.

Now that Star Wars: The Force Unleashed has finally received it's trophy patch, this poll is no longer relevant. However, I will leave it on this debate for anyone who is interested in the data it shows.

Burnout Paradise
Burnout Paradise has got to be the greatest Playstation 3 games so far. It is the only game on the PS3 that has had significant game changing content delivered free of charge. The latest upgrade for Burnout Paradise is codename Davis. This upgrade brings bikes to Paradise and a fully customisable day and night cycle, in fact if you don't like night driving you can turn it off completely. It also brings weather to Paradise.
The next updates for this game include the long awaited Trophy pack, a secret upgrade and an Island.
For those who don't know Burnout Paradise is a free roam game (if you can see it you can drive to it) and includes lots of different games modes including: Racing, crashing, stunts and intensive online play.
One more thing about Burnout it has its own online TV program (released fortnightly). Check it out by clicking on this link!

Bikes in Paradise
Burnout Paradise Trophies
The Burnout Paradise trophies have been out for a while now and quite frankly I think they are a joke. You can get all the trophies by completing less than 70% of the game, they don't add any replay value whatsoever, they don't add incentive to explore all the game, they are basically easy trophies to anyone who wants them - but that is only my opinion.
What do you think are they too easy or what?
What are your thoughts on the Burnout Paradise Trophies.

The Burnout Paradise trophies are an insult to any1 who has the Criterion Elite License. I personally have completed 102% of the game and 101% of the bikes (including all 490 online challenges) yet people who have only completed like 70% of the game have still got the same Platinum Trophy as me, it is digusting tbh. Hopefully crappy trophies like this game has won't appear in other games, so all I can say is 'Criterion grow a brain' Platinum trophies are for completists.

PAIN
PAIN is a great comedy game where you fire a person out of a slingshot into buildings, vehicles, other people and explosives in an effort to cause as much pain as possible. The game has loads of ingame achievements of increasing difficulity (as it should). The trophies however are more difficult to get than all the ingame achievements put together and in my opinion are way too hard to get. I played the game for approximately 5 hours and unlocked lots of ingame achievements ... but I did not get one trophy. The funny thing about this is that the trophies they released with the game are alot easier than the originally planned ones. Okay, I don't expect trophies to be easy but for five hours play I would at least expect to get a couple of bronzes.
Do you think the PAIN Trophies are too hard to get?

Mr Cool says:
When I first got the game I would have agreed with you that the trophies are too hard (especially after getting Burnout Paradise Platinum), but now that I have played more trophy games I would now say that some of them are too easy tbh. Admittedly it does have some rock hard trophies (Ninja Pwn) but so do quite a few other games (Far Cry 2 has got way harder trophies). PAIN is a game that should definitely have a Platinum trophy, maybe if it had there wouldn't have been as many complaints about it as it definitely would have had some easier trophies in it as well as the hard ones it has now.
