Like why does he freak out if the ice-cube trays are empty.. Thank God for the automatic ice-maker.Seriously, though, he is a great guy, full of talent, and likes to have fun. On his career side he is a mortgage loan officer(Pray for Us).

Financial Destinations

It was a dark and stormy night. No it wasn't I just always wanted to say that. My first-born came on a Tuesday morning. I woke up went to the bathroom and he dropped in the the birth canal. Imagine my fear as my husband drove 90 mph to the hospital. Will I die from childbirth or from being wrapped around a telephone pole? The hospital was an event. The emergency room resident I was convinced hated me on sight. The feelings were mutual. "Don't Touch Me! I want My Momma!

My daughter was born on her father's birthday.
She was pre-mature and weighed in at 4lbs 9ozs.
Her birth was an adventure. With my husband at work; and could not be reached; one of my sister-in-laws was picked to take me to the hospital.
I must say she was a reluctant participant in the process. After getting settled in the room; I told her she would have to go all the way with me. In which she pronounced a giant "NO". The doctor came in say's let's break your water to relieve the pressure and you will have a little while longer to wait. How about 15 minutes before little precious decided to show herself. Once again she dropped into the birth canal. By this time my sister-in-law was close to having a heart attack. The doctor rushes in tells me not to push so they can transport me to the delivery room. My sister-in-law is following as they dress her in the whatever you call those gowns and headgear. Ok we get into the delivery, sister-in-law is standing at the head of the bed. I kid you not her glasses were fogged up.
The delivery took all of 5 minutes. She was so small and cute. Look at the photo still small and cute.

How to decribe this birth? Ok here goes.
We were living with my parents. My husband was working the night shift and could not be reached.
My father was tasked to take me to the hospital.
Based on my last two births; I delivered quickly.
Since my water broke at home, I was convinced the baby was coming just as quickly as the last one.
My father is a farmer and had this old beat up car loaded with all types of stuff. He drove so slow, all I could think was "I am going to have my child in this dirty old station wagon". How I wanted to yell "Will you move this old buggy" Of course my dad is not the type to yell at. Needless to say we arrived at the hospital, and he promptly left me there and went home. I had to deliver the baby alone. Look at him now all grown up!

This will be the last installment on my child-bearing segment.
When my husband and I first got married, we discussed how many children to have. He said 6, and I wanted 2. We compromised on 4. So when I discovered I was pregnant for the fourth time. I addressed the issue with the husband. I told him I was serious about only four kids. On my first doctor's visit I told her I wanted this to be my last. My Mother was upset with the news, and I quote "But your body was made to have babies" My response "I don't care what my body was made for, this will be the last".
You know when you start getting close they have you come in every two weeks and then one week as your due date get closer; they check all your vitals and examine the uterous; Well thats what happend after the examination I climbed down off the table and the contractions started. No one beleived me. My husband said it's not time yet and prompty went to work. I also went to work as my job was closer to the hospital than my home. I sat there on my job timing the contractions and watching my co-workers get frantic.
When the contractions were ten minutes apart they couldn't stand it any longer and my co-worker friend transported me to the hospital. After check-in my doctor showed up says it will be awhile and left for lunch. My co-worker refused to stay with, so once I was all alone. I was in the delivery room all of 15 minutes, when the contractions became intense. The nurse kept having me shift and turn because the baby's breathing was slowing. The doctor arrived the same time as my little bundle of joy. He was born not breathing and I can tell you that is one scary moment in every mother's life.
He was fine, his breathing started and now he is a high school English teacher.
