Psychic Children

As I have mentioned on some of my other lens, my first memory of seeing Spirits is when I was three years old. I remember screaming for my mother but she never came in to check on me. I do remember being so scared that I shook under neither the covers and I must have cried myself to sleep.
Years later when I brought that night up to her, she said that my uncles would not let her come upstairs to check on me because I was just wanting attention.

We were living with my grandmother at the time, and it was in the same house that every day I would sit on the third floor steps and talk to a little girl who wore a cape. The little girl would never come downstairs, but always wanted me to stay on the steps with her.

My grandmother and mother both were Catholic and every time I turned around my grandmother was carrying me to church with her. Of course, I always got in trouble for either playing in the holy water or asking questions I should not been asking. I always pretty much stayed to myself or hide from the adults because I scared them. When I started saying things that I should not have known is when things really got strange for me.

Because of my differences I was made to feel as a freak or a loony bird. When I tried to deliver messages to my mother, she would either say I was lying or she would make a joke. After experiencing this for so long, a child will begin to believe there is something wrong with them. Eventually I became afraid of seeing Spirits and tried my best to tune out the messages that I was given to tell other people. I did not hear voices in my head; it was and still is different.

I have never felt alone, because I know I am never alone. Today and as an adult, me being empathic has intensified to a point when the messages come through, there is no stopping them. I have trained myself in knowing what messages are important enough to come through, and which messages are not.
Because children are so impressionable, if I would have been taught in an early age, that these gifts do not make me an evil person, perhaps things could have been different.

While I was raising my brother and sister, I always encouraged them to talk to me about everything. If they were picking up different kinds of feelings, seeing spirits or hearing messages; I wanted them to talk to me about it. I always talked to them openly about the Spirit World and what I believed. I also stressed that they needed to choose their own paths in life and not to live in fear of the Spiritual things around them. I have one sister who has dreams that comes true. Back in the late 70's, she dreamt of this little boy drowning at a big lake, by week's end, it came on the news that a little boy drowned at a big lake not too far from where we lived.

Life is different today than when I was a child or raising my brother and sister. There is the internet that has a ton of different resources available to help with anything and everything. Always pay close attention to what your children are saying and observe them.

I am posting these questions for a reason. I have also posted two poll questions. I will be the first one to admit that I was not real familar with Indigo Children or Crystal Children I have heard of them and was told many years ago that I should research them, but I was never lead to do so, until I wrote this lens.

Now, I know there will be a lot of similaries in situations. But I believe when taking this test, the occasional once in a while happenings, and the pure hard facts need to be kept separated.

As an example: When I was a child I was very rebellious. Not only was I rebellious, but I stuck to my own beliefs about the situation. Whereas if someone wants something and does not get it right away they get a little rebellious and after they get what they want, everything is fine. I hope that example made sense.

A Young child's Haunting

In one aspect or another; the paranormal has always been attached to my life. As a very young child my mother and I lived with my Italian Grandmother in a section of a big city called "Little Italy". The home we lived in was not like a regular home but it was attached to a huge wall of different homes like a condo. Each home had three stories and a basement and was actually really big. There was an uncle who lived in the basement, my grandmother's room was on the second floor and the third floor is where there were a lot of extra rooms.

I stayed in my grandmother's room with her and continued to do so until we left the state. Like every other child, being three years old, I did not want to go upstairs myself to bed, so I remember throwing fits, pouting and everything else I could think of so I would not have to go upstairs alone. But dealing with the family always meant a battle of the stubbornness and in my case I was just a child so I had no choice but to go upstairs alone to bed!

One night, I remember getting into bed and was trying to think good thoughts so I would not be afraid. I mean really, what else can a three year old child do? As I was lying in bed, I just knew my grandmother was getting ready to come to bed. I could sense a presence very close so I naturally just thought it was grandmother. For the first time that night, I felt okay. I turned to watch the doorway so I could make sure to close my eyes before she came into the room because I should have already been asleep.

The moment I turned towards the door, I became paralyzed with fear. There was something there! It was a huge shadow standing in the doorway. It had both arms extended blocking the whole door opening. There was a huge shadow that extended to the back of the figure like wings. The last thing I remember was letting out a horrifying scream and no one coming in to check on me. I wrapped myself in the blanket and to this VERY day, often when I am sleeping alone, I will wrap myself up with a blanket the same way I did that night. Was it my imagination seeing this shadow figure? If it was, why can I remember it 49 years later as if it happened yesterday?

I use to have a best friend that I would go and sit with everyday on the third floor steps. She never spoke just mainly listened to me ramble on about whatever children ramble on about. She would never leave those stairs to come down stairs with me, or to go outside. She just sat there. She wore a long cape and she was a little older than I was.

One day I walked into the kitchen and over heard my mother telling grandmother that my stepfather kept seeing a young girl appear to him in the room they were sleeping in; which was on the third floor. Mother kept explaining that this child would appear than disappear and it was making my stepfather nervous. Grandmother explained that I was the only child in the house and I opened my big mouth and yelled out that I wasn't because my best friend stayed on the third floor steps! Both my grandmother and mother tried to ignore me because of course I was nothing but a child with a huge imagination! They told me to leave the kitchen but I would not go, so they continued to talk. Grandmother explained that she was told that a young girl died of some disease upstairs long time ago. I remember running back upstairs to visit my friend again to try and talk her into coming back downstairs so grandmother could see her. I remember this so well because I was running so fast that I banged into the bathroom door and hurt my forehead. Soon afterwards, my mother, step father and I moved out of grandmother's house to another state. We have lived in several haunted houses since my grandmother's house. Soon, everyone who thought it was only my imagination seeing the things I have seen; became afraid to be around me. Odd kid on the block I suppose.

Do I still get visitations today? Yes, I do. Today it is different though, I hear more from the Spirit World than see spirits. The times that I do see spirits it is for a reason, throughout the years that is how I have learned to deal with these things. I know the home I currently live in has guest. One night I was lying on the couch and looked over and seen a white apparition reclining on the chair that is next to the couch. A few times I have slept walked here (something I have not done since childhood) and was startled by a voice saying something in my ear. I was so startled that I banged my shoulder against a shelf and ended up with a huge bruise for several days. The voice in my ear was unbelievable; it was so close that I could feel the breath. It was not my husband because the next morning when I told him about it and showed him my shoulder, he was shocked! At one point I seriously considered contacting Traci and Tom and talking to them about what goes on here, but decided that at this point I need to try and figure this out on my own. I am afraid if there are more cases of bruises and things I cannot figure out, I will without a doubt contact them.
