The Birth of PSYCHOBILLY
One far-out step beyond rockabilly: PSYCHOBILLY! Psychobilly is possibly the most fun take on retro clothing, mixing classic 50s styling and 70s punk rock aesthetics. Leopard prints, skulls, hourglass figures, spike heels, faux fur, and lots of leather are all hot rock 'n' roll pieces of psychobilly!
The term was first used in the Johnny Cash 70s hit "One Piece at a Time":
I got it one piece at a time
And it didn't cost me a dime
You'll know it's me when I come through your town
