If there is anything that i like about hollywood then it has to be those twisted psychological thriller movies. Though psychological movies can be from any genre like sci-fi, horror, action and drama but i prefer to watch psychological thriller movies. There are plenty of variations in psychological movies with mix of - suspense, horror, fantasy in it just makes watching these movies unforgettable.

Magnolia

Magnolia is a twisted psychological story that will take you to set of stories that appears to be disconnected. The story, characters and the visual effects are woven together nicely. You'll also find the soundtrack and camera effects appealing in this movie. If you're like me enjoys twisted stories then you should watch this movie.

Don't get surprised if you find out this story is written by Stephen king. He's the man when it comes to thriller and horror stories. Carie is one of the best psychological story plot written by Stephen king. You'll find slight horror in Carrie but for the rest it's one good psychological thriller story.

Leonardo's one best performance movie in psychological thriller title. This movie has the perfect plot, music, characters and twist that makes it one of the best psychological thriller movie. Soundtrack is what makes the real thrill in this movie. Sound of lighthouse horn throughout the movie that will unhold the real mystery in this movie for you.

The Objective

Desert. Talibanis, Ghosts and Aliens. That's how I can sum up this psychological thriller. It is categorized in horror movie. I don't see this as horror in any way. It's perfect psychological thriller with concept of panspermia and aliens in deserted region. I know I'm spoiling it already by giving you hint about aliens. But you have to watch it on your own. No amount of spoiler is going to kill your interest. It's just too good movie - kinda like documentary with psychological thriller touch.

No Country for Old Men

This one is action psychological thriller that will force you to think. Javier Bardem gave one of the best performance of his time in this movie. This movie get on your nerves once you meet the scary javier. One scary thriller that you'll remember for long time. Definitely worth to add in your psychological movies collection.

Farm House

Unlike other psychological thriller movies this movie progresses slowly and ends up connecting every missing puzzle. There are few horror moments in this movie but that's not much of scary if you ask me. Overall excellent story, acting and flow of the plot in this movie. Definitely worth to watch if you like twisted horror/psychological thriller.

A Clockwork Orange

Mixing horror, thriller and fantasy in one plot gets you hardcore psychological movie like- a clockwork orange. New high definition version of this movie is much improved and you should get your hands on that copy. Music and Visuals are excellent and is what makes the movie worth to watch. It is classic psychological thriller yet it beats many titles in modern cinema.

The Hitcher

This movie has a lot of twists and will keep you thinking till the end. It has it's scary moments so you can call it horror psychological thriller. Plot will remain in your head for long time and you'll watch it again and again. There are two movies with this title - the new one seems to be the remake movie so you should avoid the remake and get the original.

The Shining

The Shining seems to be the movie that roams around borderline of scary meter and twists it with psychological plot. Those who like scary psychological plots will enjoy watching "the shining". It'll keep you stick on couch till the end with the fear factor in it. Excellent soundtrack, story plot and acting that you can see in this movie.

Audition

Audition is the movie from Japanese director and will take you to another psychological ride of different culture. There are some disturbing scenes in this movie so if one of from your family can't take it then you should watch this on your own. It is one nice psychological movie with Japanese cultural shock.

Inception

When Christopher Nolan releases any movie then there is something special in it every time. Inception is fantasy psychological thriller that will make you laugh, chill your bones and will twist you around the plot. Excellent story, music and acting which is what makes it another great movie in your collection.

Silk

This one is horror psychological thriller. It's not much of scary but definitely makes you relate to some of your experiences. The concept of fractal for ghost capturing is innovative and so is anti-gravity. It's korean movie if i'm not wrong while reading subtitles. Definitely worth to watch for those who like horror psychological thriller.

Silent Hill

The story plot of this movie was inspired by video game. Though it has it's scary moments the way movie is woven it's nice psychological movie. Soundtrack is what makes the movie more interesting. The sound of mine horn is scary and will pump up your heart till the end of this movie. If you've played the video game then this movie should be definitely in your list.

Secret Window

Johny depp with yet another classic performance in twisted psychological movie. The story of this movie is adapted from the Stephen king's novel. You can expect good performance from Johny depp in this twisted psychological movie. Definitely worth to watch if you're johny depp fan.

Gozu

Another good psychological movie from japan. It's not horror and gory but has few disturbing scenes with twisted story plot. Camera visual, soundtrack and the story plot is excellent. Definitely a must see movie for those who like watching psychological thriller.
