- I think it would be lovely to go to a pub. The American version of a bar, tavern, or "beer joint" is not comparable. I would like to try some of those dishes as well. A well deserved purple star.

- What fun! Of course, now you have made me hungry. I will never find this grub on this side of the Atlantic. This lens is going to end up costing me a pretty penny, as I will now have to buy tickets for my daughter and I to fly over to London, rent a car and drive to Hampshire, find an inn where we can stay, all so I can go to the Fox and Hound for some bangers and mash. I am not even sure what that is, but I want it!

- I ate my way across England this past summer. I think my boyfriend was really surprised, because I usually don't eat that much. LOL Since then, he's been cooking "pub grub" for me several nights a week. <3 Now, if only I could get him to make cream teas for me... :-)

- When my sister and I visited England many years ago, we gravitated to the pubs for the tasty food and club-like atmosphere. Much more interesting that some takeaway stand.

- The things I like in England is that you have the most beautiful pubs in the world. Not one is similar to another and make people want to discover more than one when they happen to come to England. Even Martha Grimes, the American author, based all her novels on English pubs.

- Love this lens! I suppose I should count myself very fortunate to have toured the UK at great length over a number of years, from Dingwall (North of Inverness) to Plymouth in the South-West. One of the best parts of doing so is visiting the small local pubs and sampling their grub and their grog!

- I'd love some good pub grub. We have some local ones here in New England that try to pass themselves off as genuine pub grub style, but they're not so good. I even went to one in Vermont where I ordered Shepherds Pie and it has plastic inside the pie (it was a cheap frozen imitation) -- which I started to accidentally eat -- woops! Needless to say, that meal was on the house. Never been to the UK, but I'd love to go. Great work!
