Public Speaking Panic: You Don't Have To Suffer If You Know These Secrets

Don't let public speaking panic get you down, learn my secrets today.

Public Speaking Panic

Run, Run, And Run Some More

Public speaking panic is the most common fear on earth. But, for some of us it can take on a whole new dimension of terror. Our head's swim, our voices crack, our face's flush, we feel outside of our bodies, we even feel like we're going to die.

Maybe you can relate?

I know I used to feel that way, until I decided I wasn't going to go through it anymore. Public speaking is something that anyone should be able to do, and I wasn't going to let my fears stop me.

I did a lot of research on panic attacks and phobias and came up with a fool proof plan for myself...and it has worked like a charm.

Are you ready? Here is my routine for overcoming public speaking panic, it's worked for me and I know it will work for just about anyone because I was the the most terrified public speaker of all time.

Your fear of public speaking needs to be overcome well in advance of giving a speech. Here are things we can do that will work wonders. First of all you need to get your body in shape. Sound weird. It works.

Physical exercise is one of the best ways to calm your nerves and your mind. Cardiovascular exercise is simple and cost effective and it just plain works. So start an exercise program. Running the day of the speech is key. You're body won't have the nervous energy because you're already worked it off.

Change Your Diet, Change Your Brain

Diet is another key factor. Here are some steps to take. Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables because these foods contain alkaline minerals which turn on your parasympathic nervous system, the branch that calms you down.

Also, take care to eat enough protein, whether it be from meat, fish, and eggs or protein powder. Protein is the nutrient most responsible for producing neurotransmitters in the brain like serotonin, which keep you calm and alert..

Kick coffee to the curb and cut down on alcohol if you have to, these substances will kick your body into panic mode if you are prone to panic while giving speeches.

Last but not least, you need to train your brain. What would you say if I could teach you a method that's like having a safety net inside your brain for when the jitters start.

There are a few good programs out there that can teach you these techniques, the Linden Method and Panic Away are great. I personally recommend Panic Away for it's ease of use and effectiveness.

What this method does is it teaches you to move activity from the emotional midbrain area to the logical forebrain area. Once the forebrain area is dominate you will not feel panicky emotions.

And once you learn this technique you can apply it to any area of your life where you get nervous or experience panic attacks.

Public speaking panic may seem insurmountable, but if you follow the steps above I guarantee you will surprise yourself the next time you have to give a speech. You will be great and all your panic will just melt away.
