An Inmate Search can be frustrating, especially if you have not been informed about transfers of an inmate from one prison to an other. It gets even worse, if the prisoner has been taken from one type of prison (i.e. a county prison or sheriff's prison) to a state prison. Many prisons have online inmate search facilities, but often these pages are quite obscure and difficult to find. Also, before you find the query page for the inmate search, you have to find the acutal web address of the prison in question.
It's quite easy to use the public records search facility for inmate search. They offer a comprehensive list of prison inmate search data bases and will save you a lot of hassle and time.
