I majored in journalism in college and we were taught to focus on the "who, what, when, where, and why" of a story when we wrote. The problem with that is that it trained me to write in a very dry and boring way.

Last fall I got started publishing my first ebook. Really, it was a just a short report about some insider stuff I know because I'm passionate about a particular hobby. This hobby is popular all over the world so I knew there would be a market for my guide.

I published the ebook as a simple pdf file and started selling it to customers all over the world. I tried to write in a simple, straight forward way - no fancy journalism talk or high end vocabulary. People have complimented me on my simple style of writing. "You really know how to get a point across," one reader emailed me.

I recommend that you start publishing your own ebooks - it's not hard, and I make as much as $265 a day right now doing it. I know I can make more as I continue to market my websites.

One reason a lot of people give me for why they're not writing and publishing ebooks is that they think they have to be a fancy writer to do this. You don't.

In fact, the less you think of yourself as a writer and the more you simply learn to type as you speak, the better your ebooks will sell. You see, when you publish an ebook you're marketing to people from all over the world. They might want to download your ebook in the middle of the night from Singapore or something, which is great.

Chances are that if the person is from outside the US they will want to read language that is simple and doesn't use "slang" or things uniquely American. And they don't want to read fussy, complicated descriptions for things.

So when I wrote my first ebook and began selling it I tried to cut and paste information I'd been emailing to people over the years and I used this as a basis for my main "bullet points" in my ebook. I stuck to what I knew and kept my descriptions simple.

If you simply learn how to research a subject, create an outline, and make points in a simple way, you'll do find as an ebook publisher.

I have three ebooks that I'm publishing right now. Each one took me just a few days to put together. They are really simple reports or mini-ebooks, nothing too complicated or too long. I charge anywhere from $7 to $37 for each ebook.

It's great because I also work as a professional jazz musician. In the summers we're busy but in the rest of the year things can get kind of lean. My online publishing business is allowing me to make good income (as much as $265 a day just from ebook publishing). I also sell products from various websites as an affiliate marketer, which is also fun and profitable.

Each time I create a new ebook or short report, I know that I am creating another passive income stream for myself. Publishing ebooks is an amazing way to make great money online.
