Puma Footwear
Puma, a German based multinational company is mostly known for its footwear and sportswear. It is also called Puma Aktiengesellscaft Rudolf Dassler Sport. In 1948 after 2nd World War, Puma was founded by Rudolf Dassler at Herzogenaurach after splitting from his brother's company, Adidas. This separation was the beginning of an intense rivalry between Puma and Adidas to make their shoes popular among the world's best athletes. This strong battle leads to introduce various remarkable sports shoes for the athletes of overall world which lead them to win so many medals in different international events.

1948: Puma launched their first shoe ever called "PUMA Atom"
1950: Puma Shoes established export ties to the USA.
1958: Pumas trademark formstripe was introduced.
1962: Pele worn Puma shoes in world cup matches and his team won the World Cup for a second time in the history.
1968: Puma's signature cat logo was launched.
They launched several successful models of sports shoes such as the "King" football cleats which were worn by Eusebio
1970: Pele won third World Cup for his country, wearing the Puma King.
Puma shoes introduced it's most popular model "Roma".
1974: Rudolf Dassler died
1976: Puma introduced sports sneakers with a higher heel to reduce strain on the Achilles tendon. This technology was known as S.P.A. technology.
1980: New model "Puma Clyde" was launched for the first time
1982: Armin A. Dassler son of Rudolf Dassler designed the Puma Duoflex sole
1986: Puma goes public renamed to Puma AG Rudolf Dassler Sport
1989: Puma introduced the "Trinomic" sport shoe system.
1990: Star footballer, German midfielder Lothar Matthaus won World Cup title, wearing Puma shoes
1993: Jochen Zeitz was appointed as C.E.O & Chairman of the Board
1996: Puma formed Puma Cell Laboratory.
Puma retailers, departmental stores, and outlets are located in more than 80 countries. Puma shoes collection has been worn by so many superstar personalities of sports such as Pele, Boris Becker, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, and Robert Pires, Serena Williams. Their products have also been included in various Hollywood movies like "City of Angels".
