Pumpkin Mousse Recipe
Pumpkin Mousse Directions:1.Pour water into small saucepan. Sprinkle gelatin over top and let stand 5 minutes.
2.Place mixture over medium heat. Cook 2 minutes stirring constantly until gelatin is dissolved.
3.Transfer gelatin to blender. Add remaining ingredients, except ice cubes. Process mixture until smooth.
4. Add one ice cube at a time, blending well after each ice cube is added. Divide mixture into individual dessert bowls.
5.Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.

If you want to cook with real pumpkin instead of canned, the huge pumpkins may be perfect for carving and decorating, but for cooking the smaller pumpkins are sweeter, with more flesh and less water.

If you love pumpkin mousse, you can make this recipe extra special by turning it into parfait. What goes together better than pumpkin pie and whipped cream?
This seriously simple Pumpkin Mousse Parfait recipe could be just what the doctor ordered.
Take the pumpkin mousse recipe above and some real whipped cream or Cool Whip.. Your choice. Crush up some ginger snaps cookies into crumbly pieces in a Ziplock baggie.
1: Add a layer of pumpkin mousse to a cup.
2: Sprinkle ginger snap crumbles over the layer of pumpkin mousse.
3: Layer whipped cream over the layer of ginger snap.
Rinse and repeat until the parfait glass is filled with the top layer being whipped cream, of course.
Dust with a dash of cinnamon to garnish. Yum!! Enjoy!

For pumpkin pie, pie filling with the added spices and stuff is just perfect, but for other baking, like pumpkin mousse, canned pumpkin purée is what you want. Cans labeled "solid-pack" instead of "pumpkin pie filling" will help make your puree perfect.
I love these spoons! Eating things like mousse, pudding, ice cream, or even yogurt with the smaller spoon makes it seem more special, and the smaller bites make your treat seem to last longer. Plus..they're pretty and sturdy, too.
