A passion for pumpkins!
I don't know when my pumpkin obsession started, maybe as a child growing up in New England...fall didn't officially begin for me until I had my first bite of pumpkin pie. Picking out a pumpkin at the pumpkin patch was almost as good as my birthday. I love growing pumpkins, carving pumpkins, cooking pumpkins, writing about pumpkins and collecting vintage images of pumpkins.
How To Pick A Pumpkin
Find One that will last through Halloween!
*Look for a pumpkin that has a strong stem. Stems will keep the pumpkin fresh.
*Watch the temperature when you bring your pumpkins home. Keep the pumpkin cool, not in direct sunlight and not outside if it may freeze.

Autumn in New England
Sometimes it's not enough to think about pumpkins you need to visit the fields and then sip some warm apple cider in historic New England in front of a roaring fire just as the autumn chill starts setting in.
