Puppy House Training- Puppy Potty Training Tips
You have got to master Puppy House Training. And you have to have the right kind of puppy potty training tips. Lots of people have trouble with puppy potty training. How do you know when she needs to go out? It's not like she's going to say, "Open the door for me." How do you teach her to go on command? What is the proper way to discipline her when she has accidents in the house? In here, you learn it all!
Why Is Puppy House Training So Hard?
Many people who choose to get puppies have children as well. They think the dog and child will wear each other out. Children and dogs are a handful, so the adults allow the puppy to eliminate on newspapers or potty pads so they can clean up the mess in one easy swoop the next morning. They figure, "I will housebreak the dog over time."
So you see, the puppy is being trained to relieve himself inside from the start- and he does not have to announce himself to go. He goes when he wants to.

Where Do I Start? Puppy Potty Training Tips
If your puppy is two moths old, she will need to go every two hours. Three months old, every three hours. You see the pattern. You also need to take her outside RIGHT after every meal.
Is puppy house training really worth all this effort?
Yes it is! Young puppies learn very quickly.
My puppy was potty trained in less than a week. I had to get up a lot, and I lost a little sleep for a couple of months. But I was not anxious about her having accidents, so I was able to relax and do other critical work.
Important Puppy Potty Training Tips:
When Puppy House Training ALWAYS remember:
* If your puppy is sniffing around, drop what you're doing and whisk her out.
* Take her to the same potty spot every time. Puppies do not like new spots, and it is confusing for them. They are creatures of habit.
* Praise her with "Good wee!" as she does it, and "Good Potty" as she does that. This way she understands the difference by name and will learn to do them on command as much as possible.
* When the puppy is sniffing, ask her if she "needs outside," then praise her as you let her out.
* Getting her out fast is a must. Puppies cannot hold it. Be willing to lay down the phone, miss the best part of the movie, and turn off the stove where you're cooking dinner.

Puppy House Training - My Puppy Had An Accident!
Whisk the puppy out right away to be sure the rest of the mess is done outside. Then put her in her crate calmly. You are not punishing her, and you are not letting her see you clean up the accident.
If the puppy watches you clean it up, he will think you are his personal slave. Be sure you use 50-50 white vinegar and water to remove the odor. Blot up urine thoroughly. DO NOT RUB! That would rub in the smell instead of removing it. Leave the solution in for three minutes, then blot it up.
What is The Potty Training Tip for disciplining my puppy for accidents?
CLAIM the area. Your dog used what belongs to you without asking. So you need to show that this action is bad in this spot.
By the way, while cleaning up the accident you may say "Bad wee" or "Bad potty". The puppy knows those words and has received "Good Potty" outside. She will be considering that.
Now for "claim."
Step One - Put your puppy near the area of the accident, then step in between her and it. Make eye contact at all times until the end of this exercise.
Spread your feet halfway between a military at ease and a Atten-hut! And hold hold yourself up proudly like a man in the army should. Remember, keep the eye contact. Do not be the first to look away.
When the puppy walks away or lies down and turns away, she has surrendered the space to you. Do Not look or move away until then.
Follow these puppy potty training tips and your puppy house training will be a speedy success!

Amen, if people would just really focus on training right from the time they get out of the car when they bring the puppy home for the first time it would be much more effective and even though it takes real committment in the beginning it will be much more effective. Posted September 06, 2008 |

Thanks for the lens.I think that people sometimes forget that a puppy is like a baby and so should it be treated! The main mistake I have noticed people make is that they punish the puppy when they make an accident! I have also created a blog about Potty Training Puppies Posted August 13, 2008 |

Puppy house training was easy when I kept the pup confined in a corner of my bedroom and whisked her out at each peep (every 2 hrs. at first). She instinctively ONLY wanted of pee outside in that one place. Great info***** Caregiver Posted November 30, 2007 |
