    What great information for the first time puppy owner, I wish more people would read this before getting a puppy for the first time, it certainly answers a lot of questions with the answers...Well done thanks for sharing, blessed by a squid angel!

    Be sure to see my lens about the DAP products. Does it work? Well every dog is different so I can't say 100% that it will help for sure. DAP works for some and not for others. It just depends on the dog and level of anxiety you are dealing with. Some swear by it while others say it didn't help much if at all. It's a try and see sort of thing. Just remember that it takes a week before you see results from DAP. Good luck with your dog search.

    Very helpful lens! We are debating getting a dog (daughter really wants one). I had never heard of the DAP thing that plugs in. Have you used it? Does it really work? THanks!

    Really wonderful lens. Great resource for anyone considering dog ownership and I'm glad you covered the issue of puppy mills as well. Added to faves, 5 star and lensrolling to Goldies lens!

    Wonderfully done and I'm so happy to see that you've included information about pet stores and puppy mills. Very important to educate people before they end up supporting this cruel practice. 5 stars for a great resource of information that all new dog owners should read before they adopt!!

    We're about to adopt two new dogs, because their two separate owners are moving to places where they can't keep them. One is a year old and the other about 4 months, and both have always lived outside so it's going to be 'interesting' seeing whether they'll need toilet training...

    I feel a bit sad whenever I see puppies in pet shops. A pet should never be an 'impulse buy' as far as I'm concerned. Fantastic lens!

    Good lens, I wish more people would think through the decision of getting a puppy more thoroughly. I have neighbors who have gotten 4 puppies in 4 years. Getting rid of each before the next one. Grrr!
