Why Choose a Costa Rica Vacation?
A Costa Rica Vacation provides opportunity for enjoyment for everyone.
There is neat scenery.... rolling hills, mountains, volcanoes and rain forest.
Costa Rica borders on two oceans so there are lots of beaches....beautiful sunsets too. You can surf, snorkel, swim, scuba dive or fish.
Exotic birds, beautiful flowers, diverse animals and colorful butterflies are there to watch and photograph.
The people are friendly and hospitable. They love it when you try to speak their language which of course is Spanish.
Their food is very good for you. Lots of rice and beans :) and fresh fruit. Throughout Costa Rica you can buy fruit smoothies made from fresh ripe fruit. YUM......
Here's how to make a terrific mixed fruit batido (shake). Blend watermelon, pineapple, papaya and a banana in a blender with some ice. Serve in a tall glass with a straw and sip slowly.
Another reason Costa Rica is a favorite tropical holiday destination is that the climate is warm year round.
While there is a dry and a rainy season, it doesn't necessarily rain all day during the rainy season.
The rainy season is also known as the green season for obvious reasons and many people actually prefer the green season.
Not only are there less tourists to contend with but the prices are often quite a bit less than in the dry season.
Therefore your colones (Costa Rican currency)go further.
While we're mentioning colones, it's convenient that the U.S. dollar is widely accepted in Costa Rica as well.
If you don't have colones when you first arrive, you can pay for your taxi with U.S. dollars, then visit an ATM to get colones. Be sure to agree on the fare before you accept the ride.
This tropical holiday destination provides so much to see and do, be sure to consider a Costa Rica Vacation

- Yes I couldn't agree more. Many people that visit Costa Rica come back multiple times. We are a Costa Rica Sport Fishing service provider and well over 50% of visitors do more than fishing while here on vacation.
Books we consulted before, during and after our trip.
If you want information on what to see and do, where to stay and eat, The Rough Guide.... is what you need. Want to go to Nicaragua or Panama too? The Rough Guide....has you covered.
