One of my Yorkie babies

This is Zoie. Who is a Momma, she just had a litter of 3 boys an 1 girl
She is a very good mom. Zoie weighs in at 6 1/2 lbs.

She is a beautiful yorkie BOTH inside and out.

I am going to sell her but i will first have her spay. I don't want anyone to get a hold of her an just keep breeding her.

You have to be so careful but, in these days people will say what you want to hear and after they have the yorkie they do want they want. I hear i am from the biggest puppy mill state which is MO.
Makes us all look bad.

I'm selling her because she just can not get along with my male Sketter. Sketter was my very first yorkie. He is my buddy. Anyway, they use to get along for 6 months or better. Then she got prego. Thats when it all started. I just thought it was because of all the hormone changes with her being pregnant. Figuring things would get back to normal after. NOT. boy was i wrong. she seemed to have gotten more aggressive. I just can not live having to close off rooms. It's not fare to her.
Don't worry i am being very careful where she goes.
I only want a family for Zoie to have a loving forever home.
I will not stop checking out the ones who have ask about her.
She is still a sweety pie of a yorkie.

The love of yorkies.

Everything you thought you knew about Yorkshire Terrier's.

I am owned by four yorkies. Zoie, Cowboy, Sketter, and Chloe. Pictured to the right is Chloe and Cowboys first littler. How lucky I am to have two girls. They are now 3 1/2 months old and only weigh 1.8 lbs and the other 1.6 lbs. I'm not sure they will get to 2-3 lbs even if they have a growth spurt.

Thats right they own you. Yorkies are the most loving little dogs I've ever owned.

Growing up on a farm we were not allowed to have any animals that didn't earn there keep. "So that is what we were told".
I think the only dogs we had were Beagle's or lab's.

Several years ago I decided to learn every thing I could about yorkies. After about a year I thought I knew most of what I needed to make a good choice on picking out a good pup. Well, I guess the price was good enough at $450.00. He was all so six months old. So no potty training.
I'll tell ya he is the smartest thing I have ever known. Sketter can roll over, shake hands, sit pretty, dance, sing, when the hubby tells him "go give momma kisses" he runs to me and gives me my kisses. It's just amazing how the hubby works with him for a short time and Sketter gets it.

Have you ever known a dog that you had to spell around? Well, thats my Sketter, If we are going to go some where we have to spell it because he will go crazy. He will bark the loudest he can and run back in fourth until your out the door.
If he sees us gather up the trash, same thing, because he knows he's going by by. So words we have to spell is truck, by by trash, my grandkids names, If I'm going to open the front door he thinks some ones there. It's just to funny.
Sketter is the best thing that has ever happened to me at this time of my life.
He has never been to the vet for any thing other than his shots. OH and one time for a leg bite. My Zoie just does not like my little boy, so if you open the door to the kitchen she just runs through and attacks him. We like to never got them apart, I looked at his leg and for the first time I felt maybe he needs to be seen by the vet.It did look pretty deep.
No stitches. Vet said give it some time an gave him antibiotics.
Pictured below is one of my pups a year ago called Sissie.
Puppy Male 5 weeks old

** CAUTION **

This brings me to the health issues of small dogs in general. The yorkie and some other breeds are such a small dog that kids should not be around them. You know how things happen, next thing you know the kid steps on one. I noticed my granddaughter wants to dress the girls up and they just do not like that.

I wanted to cover a little about Toxic foods for yorkies.

1) Grapes/Raisins-Just a few or a hand full can make a dog ill- systems include vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and lethargy.
2) Onions/Garlic.- They contain the toxic ingredient thiosulphate, onions are more of a danger. The red blood cells burst while circulating in its body. Systems are Hemolytic Anemia,Labored breathing, could cause liver damage, vomiting, discolored urine.
3)Chocolate surly we all know not to give our pets sweats. But the cocoa powder, semi-sweet chocolate. Can make them very ill.
4) Mushrooms, the toxicity does occur in and it can be fatal if certain species. System are drooling, liver damage,Kidney damage, vomiting, diarrhea, convulsions, coma, and even death.
4) Macadamia nuts. It has been said to possibly lead to to bladder stones. Affected dogs often unable to rise and are distressed, usually panting. Some times swollen limbs and show pains when the limbs are manipulated.
5) Fat trimmings, cause pancreatitis.
raw fish, Raw eggs, can cause hair lose, seizures, severe, cases death.

Do your research so these poor dogs don't get sick. You will be spending tons of money to get them treated.

CAUTION ******* TOXIC PLANTS******

all have plants in our house and outside in our yard, but did you know that some are toxic to your little one.

Lily hybrids & day lilies have been known to cause Kidney failure.Holiday plants, all the speies of lily.
Her is a web site that has more information for you. http://www.entirelypets.com/toxicfoods.htm

I hope this helps small dog owners with keeping there pets health and not to take the chance on loosing your pet.

Another important part of keeping them healthy is to make sure they get there shots on time.
Be careful of some things you read on the internet. Some out there think they know what they are talking about but to be quit frank "They don't"
If ever in doubt ask your vet. or go to a Veterinary Association site.
Did you know that Veterinarians are not required by law to report adverse reactions to vaccines to which the world small animal vets. Assc. stated in their 2997 vaccine guidelines that there is"gross under - reporting of vaccine-associated adverse events which impedes knowledge of the on going safety of these products". Only about 1% of serious events are reported to the FDA

Ask your vet. if he or she has read the 2008 Rabies cacine -Javma report on adverse reactions in dogs. Read April 1 2008 issue, Vol. 232.NO. 7, entitled: Postmarking surveillance of rabies vaccines for dogs to evaluate safely and efficacy.
Despite the extreme under-reporting of vaccine adverse reactions, the report states between April 1 2004 and March 31 2007. the center for Veterinary Biologics,"nearly 10,000 adverse events reports (all animal species} were received by manufacturers of rabies vaccines... Approximately 65% of the report
involved dogs.
Cowboy
Can you see how important it is to do your research. I love my little ones to much to just let things go and possibly make my dogs sick or even worse Death.

How big do miniture yorkshire terriers get? | Official Yorkie Blog
There is only one size of Yorkshire Terrier. They average 5-7 lbs. With any breed, there will be specimens that are smaller or larger than average. However, any dog advertised as being intentionally smaller than average (like mini or ... pets :-)) and id like to say just because they are smaller than average size yorkshire terriers dose NOT mean they are runts and un-healthy it depends on the breeder's knowledge and mother and fathers health, most of my yorkies lived well ...

Oh, I forgot to mention that our other new neighbors also got a yorkie! They drove to Atlanta, Georgia I think to pick the puppy up. So that makes 3 yorkies in our neighborhood.
