A Square Piece of Multi-Purpose Purple
I personally have at least a dozen bandanas at present, and, while red is the most prevalent color in my collection, I do have a special purple bandana that I've carried with me for more than ten years, ever since my Appalachian Trail thru-hike. And it doesn't seem to have lost any of its purpleness, even after so many washings. It's just a really soft purple bandana.

In my six months on the Appalachian Trail, I don't think I saw one purple bandana other than my own, so if you want to be unique and not get your bandana mixed up with someone else's, purple is a good way to go.
